There are lots of children’s clothing out there that are all cutesy with pink and blue cartoon animals – and they are nice, but clothing after clothing peice with this theme can get repetitive.  This next retailer designs onesies with real wildlife on them.  The drawings are all the creation of Katie Covington, and her company is called KC Fuzzy.  The onesies have some beautiful art with chimps, dolphins, pandas and tigers.  The onesies come in size 0 – 12 months, and are all unisex so each onesies would be suitable for a boy or a girl making it a great gift for a baby shower.

For review KC Fuzzy sent Genevieve a Dolphin onesie in size 12 months.  Lately I have been finding it very difficult to get onesies that fit Genevieve properly (the sizes on the onesies and her age do not match) she is only 10 months now, and many 12 month onesies are nearly too small for her.  This onesie is bang on when it comes to size.  It still has some room to grow, and my guess is, will fit her perfect when she is 12 months.  Now onto the picture.  The drawing of the dolphin looks amazing, and you can tell that it has been drawn by a person that pays close attention to detail.  It’s nice to have something that is not super cutesy, and looks like a real animal.  It will also be great to be able to teach Genevieve about dolphins because these animals are hard to find and teach your children about.

If you are looking for something not quite like all the other clothing on the market, KC Fuzzy has some amazing artwork, with unique animals, that look real.  When I look at the panda, I feel like I could feel how fluffy it is.

2 Little Stars is a fabulous online boutique started by Mom friends, Christina and Lisa.  They wanted the products that their children (THE “2 Little Stars”) wore to be just as special as their children are.  They make personalized items for girls, boys  and even moms that include shirts, onesies, blankets, bibs and buckets too.  Since 2 Little Stars items are mostly handmade, they are able to keep up with the latest trends in fashion to ensure your child will be the hippest youngster on the block.

For review, 2 Little Stars sent Genevieve an initial “G” onesie in pink.  The “G” on the onesie is black with pink and white daisies on it. The “G” looks amazing on the onesie.  The stitching along the “G” is in black as well, and there is no way the applique will ever fall off, it’s sewn on there really good.  The onesie came in a size 12 months, I would say the sizing is generous.  Genevieve is 11 months, and she has room to grow, even with her cloth diaper.  I did not notice any shrinking, but as with anything, you may experience some shrinkage.  What I like about the onesie, is the cute little capped sleeves.  The sleeves are not long at all, so it’s great for the summer months.  There is a little bit of a wave along the sleeves which gives it a light weigh less look when she is wearing her 2 Little Stars onesie.  The initial onesies and tees start at size 0 months and go right up to a women’s large, so there should be something for everyone.

All the items look wonderful at 2 Little Stars.  You can really mix and match anything on their website to make the onesie, blanket or bib of your choice.  There are plenty of fabric combinations to choose from and threads, so you can get your creative juices going – but get a professional to actually do all the work for you.   You can also get matching gift sets which would be an excellent shower gift.

As you all know, I have a girly girl.  I dress her up in pink and dresses nearly everyday!  I really do love dressing her up – especially because she is hairless and people think she is a boy.  Way deep down inside I am an 80’s girl.  I love the 80’s and rock and roll.  My father was in a band, and as I was growing up, he always played guitar and piano.  I have a few tapes (yes tapes) of me singing some 80’s songs when I was 4 years old.  So, rock and roll is kind of in my blood.  My brother is now an incredible guitar player so I guess it runs in the family.

I was pretty excited when I came across Crazy Baby Clothing, they carry rock and roll and other sassy onesies.  I was really thrilled because I knew this would fit in perfectly with my Dad’s and brothers life style (and mine too, way deep down in my sole).  The onesies and shirts from Crazy Baby Clothing are all black, there are no baby pinks and baby blues here, they range in sizes from 0 – 4T.

I received a “Yes, I am the cutest thing you’ve ever seen” onesie.  Although it’s not a rock and roll onesie, it still has a sassy look to it!  I am so surprised how cute a black onesie looks with a pair of little jeans (or pink pants – I just had to).  The white wording stands out more on a black onesie, than black working on a white onesie.  I think it’s because white onesies are a dime a dozen.  A black onesie REALLY stands out, and everyone wants to read what her top says.  It gets a chuckle every time!

This onesie by Crazy Baby Clothing has been through the wash a number of times, and the lettering has stayed on and not pulled, the onesie has had some regular shrinking.  I received a 12 month onesie for Genevieve, she is 9 months right now, and it fits her well, but please keep in mind that I cloth diaper so shes got a little more of a booty.

I also received a My Mom Rocks soother from Crazy Baby Clothing.  I love the pink soother with the silver sparkles.  Thankfully the soother was the same style that we were using before hand, so Genevieve took to it right away.  It’s the generic one that’s clear!  I absolutely love this soother, I love going out in public with it, everyone reads what is on her soother, and again they smile after reading it – I smile as well!  This is probably the most unique soother I have seen.  The sparkles and pink make for an ultra girly soother, but the “My Moms Rocks” words make it sassy.  The soother also comes with a little protective cover, so you can throw it in a diaper bag and not worry about it getting dirty.  I can also guarantee that your soother wont get mixed up with any other child’s soother at a play date – a definite bonus!

One thing that I didn’t receive from Crazy Baby Clothing, but I own anyway are the Rockabye Baby CD’s, I have the U2 CD and the Coldplay CD (I told you I was a bit of a rocker)!  These are so great.  I love rocking Genevieve at night, while listening to U2 songs being played out with little xylophones.  The songs sound just like baby lullabies, but are way cooler and I sing all the words to her. If you want to be able to enjoy your child’s music in the middle of the night, I would definitely suggest Rockabye Baby CD’s, you will love them.

Crazy Baby Clothing also has complete matching outfits which comes with a onesie, bib, soother, blanket, and hat.  If you are looking for a gift for a cool new baby entering the world, this would be a very thoughtful gesture for parents who like to rock, or aren’t big on baby pink and baby blue!  They also carry cool diaper bags, by the pictures they look more like a hobo bag than a diaper bag , this would be great for dads.

Many children usually end up working in a industry that their parents worked in.  Accountants will usually see their children becoming accountants, and teachers children will become teachers.  I guess it’s because children see the success and joy (cough) that their parents have in these careers.  Sara Reider of Snugfits was lucky enough  for one of her parents to have a “cool” job.  Her dad owned a silk screening store (and so did his dad), and his mother was an artist. With this family history, it was inevitable that Sara would be creative.  She has taken the silk screening skills from her father, and her creativity from her grandmother and put together a company called Snugfits. Snugfits specializes in yummy gourmet tees for tots with expression.  Each item is the creative design of Sara, and is made by her as well.

The site has hundreds of design options for boys and girls.  I had to call on some backup for this one (my husband).  I usually pick out all the items I receive, but I thought it would be nice for my hubby to pick out an outfit for a change.  I always wondered what would a man pick out for his daughter?  I was really surprised with his choice.  It was a pink long sleeve Rock Star (in the shape of a star) shirt.  I thought it was a great choice (not that there are any bad choices on the Snugfits website.  All the designs area great.)

The shirt is top quality.  The silk screening is probably the best I have seen yet.  Many times after a few washes the picture can start to pull apart or flake off, I can tell you, I have washed this about 5 times, and there is no sign of this happening yet or to come in the future.  I’m not sure what is different with this shirt compared to others, but the quality is definitely there.  I’ve even pulled the shirt to see if the letters would come apart and the lettering did not move.  Kudos to you Sara for an EXCELLENT job on the screening. Your dad (and grandfather) sure did teach you well and should be very proud of your work.

This cute t-shirt by Snugfits looks adorable on my daughter.  I usually have her in dresses and frills, so a cute t-shirt and some jeans is a nice change for her.  The shirt is a size 12 months, and Genevieve is just 9 months now, so I have to roll up the sleeves up a little, but other than that fits her tummy in length and girth.  Genevieve looks great in her Rock Star shirt, and I really like that there was something on the site that my husband picked out, and is proud to put on our daughter.

Sara at Snugfits uses her own children in all her photos.  Her son, is just the cutest thing and must have a lot of  patience to take pictures in all those outfits!  What a great little model she has.  One of my favourite poses is the Bundle of Joy picture. Shopping with Mitetees is very easy, first pick a design that you like.  I chose the production onesie.  Then you just have to pick your lettering colour, size and what words you would like on your shirt.  I don’t think I’ve yet told you all my husbands name, but it’s Lance!  So, I choose a Lynette & Lance production in bright pink.  I was very excited to get my package in the mail.

When I did get my package, I was really impressed with the the little bag it came in.  There was a very fine attention to detail, and maybe some people would miss it, but I caught it – the package came with a little foam flower stuck to the see through bag, the same flower that is on the website with a button in the middle!  I really liked that consistency and small detail.  I really love it when companies spend time thinking about their products and their product line to this type of detail.  When little things like this are taken care of, you can be rest assured that the rest is sure to follow.

I am very proud to put this onesie on my daughter and so is her dad!  We are so proud to be her parents, and it feels great to have  Genevieve in this little outfit.  Genevieve is 9 months right now, and the onesie is 12 months in size and fits her a little loose still Genevieve wears cloth diapers, so please keep this in mind.  There was just a little shrinkage in the wash and I did find that the letter pulled just a little tiny bit, but the wording is still totally legible and is not peeling off.  What is really cute is that there is a little tiny copy mark on the onesie as well after the word production!  So it’s like it’s copyrighted – How cute is that?

This onesie (or shirt up to 6T) really gets people talking and everyone knows that it had to be personally made just for our daughter.  It feels nice to know that she is special enough for someone to spend the time to make this little outfit for her.  Aren’t all children special enough for this?  These types of onesies would be a great shower gift (if the parents know what the sex of the baby is).  But if they don’t know the sex, there are some green and yellow fonts as well.  

Some other great designs are 2009, or made in “whatever city you live in”.   Id you have twins a really cute shirt is the same production shirt and underneath it says 1 of 2, so for the other twin you can put 2 of 2!  You can also get a patent number shirt, and for the patent it’s your child’s birthday.  What cleaver ideas for some really cute shirts.  You can also buy gift sets from Mitetees which includes a onesie (or shirt) a hat and some baby booties.

Savvy Tot is an online store with clever onesies.  Children and babies are very intuitive, but they really have no idea what is going on in the world, but with Savvy Tot’s saying, we can pretend that they actually do know what’s happening, that they have a voice, and that they are using it.

I have yet to see many of the phrases that Savvy Tot carries.  They have onesies, bodysuits, baby hats and pants, and soft-soled leather shoes for newborns right up to 24 months. They even have hand-screened personalized onesies available, in a couple fun designs. Their online ordering system is very easy to navigate and Robert at Savvy Tot, has been a breeze to deal with.  The hardest part of getting the product from Savvy Tot was deciding what saying I wanted to put on my daughters oneise!

I needed back up to pick just the right onesie, so I called my husband over.  We had a hard choice between “Grandmas Future Tech Support”, “Change is Good”, and “Bundle of (Mostly) Joy”.  We decided on “Bundle of (Mostly) Joy”.  We thought this would fit our daughter because she is usually a pretty good baby, but sometimes – look out – she can really put her lungs to use!  I especially like that the word “mostly” is in parenthesis!  Of course we all know babies ARE a bundle of job, but sometimes… wow, they can really test us!

I dealt with Robert at Savvy Tot, he was very friendly, straight to the point, and easy to do business with.  Not too long later (shipping across the border takes a little longer), I received my pink long sleeve onesie, with a few surprises – a matching hat and pants too!

The onesie is size 12 months and fits my 7 1/2 month daughter fine in the length, because I cloth diaper, her tooshie is a little larger than the average girl.  The arms are a little bit lengthy, but they are easily turned up and it looks like the sleeves have a cuff!  The lettering did not pull in the wash, but the onesie did shrink a little, so make sure to order the right size.  The onesie is still in excellent condition.  This cute little saying gets a good rise out of people, even those who do not know her.  But those who do know her can really appreciate the humor!

What really tops off this onesie, is the matching hat and pants!  I always try to match my daughter as much as I can, but there are 100’s of different colours of pink out there!  The onesie, hat and pants are all the exact same colour pink, so you can tell that they are meant to be a set!  The whole outfit looks great on her!  I do not think I have come across a site yet that offers matching pants with a onesie!  Do yourself a favour, when you do buy a onesie from Savvy Tot, also buy the matching pants and hat, you will love the outfit, and will regret it if you dont get the set.

The cute little pink pants have the Savvy Tot logo on them as well.  When I fist put the pants on, I thought the logo was supposed to go on the front, then I looked at them again, and the logo is meant to be on the bum!! OMGoodness, the pants are just too cute.  They fit perfectly and there is no issue with them falling off, or the legs riding up or being too short.

The hat with the little tie on the top and the Savvy Tot logo, fits Genevieve perfectly.  It’s so hard to get a hat to fit her head as it is a little on the smaller side (mine was too when I was a baby). Many of  her hats pass her forehead and cover her eyes.  I was so happy that this hat fit fine and did not cover her eyes.

Like I mentioned before, the whole set looks great together.  I tried to get a photo of her laying down and looking up at the camera so you can see the Savvy Tot logo on the hat, the bundle of (mostly) joy saying on the onesie, and the Savvy Tot logo on her bum all at once, but I’m sure as most of you know, it’s nearly impossible to get the photo you want.

Savvy Tot has some really great phrases ,another one of my favourites is don’t blame me, I can’t vote until 2024!  (there is also 2025 and 2026 depending on what year your baby was born).  These are just too cute!
