Since Genevieve is still pretty much bald, I love having  hair clips, bows, and headbands in her hair nearly everyday – so people know she is a girl (because for some reason, pink dresses just don’t seem to cut it).  When I received my parcel frm Lemme Klip-Itz, I squealed in delight to see all the great Itty Bitty baby clips that Stephanie, the designer behind Lemme Klip-Itz had sent.  There was nearly one clip for every outfit that Genevieve has. Lemme Klip-Itz makes ultra mod clips to match all the latest fashion trends.  From the pink and brown dots, to some emo skull and cross bones, to cupcakes, whatever is “cool” right now, Lemme Klip-Itz has it on her Etsy store.

For review Lemme Klip-Itz, sent Genevieve 10 different Itty Bitty baby clips.  These are the tiny tiniest snap clips at only 7/8″, and they all have a full bow and at least one piece of bling on them as well.  The clips all snap into place and really do require just the smallest little piece of peach fuzz to stay on.  Many other clips have a piece of rubber on the inside of the clip to help them stay in, the Lemme Klip-Itz hair clips, did not, so I was nervous about these staying in.  To my surprise, they stayed in just as well as any other clip I have reviewed.  So, I wondered why this was?  I think because there is no extra bulk between the snaps (where the rubber usually is), the clip really snaps onto the hair, and keeps it in place really well.   If Genevieve pulls really hard on the clips, she can pull them out of her hair, recently she has been pulling out everything in her hair and taking everything off her head. However, if she just leaves them alone, and they stay in her hair all day.  I may only have to adjust a few times.

What I love about the Lemme Klip-Itz clips, is how sweet Genevieve looks when she is wearing them.  Like I said, she now has a tiny clip that matches nearly every outfit that she has.  Stephanie even sent some holiday appropriate clips, so for Canada Day, when Genevieve was all decked out in red and white, she had the matching clip to finish off her outfit.  I also love that all the clips also have some sort of bling on them, whether one little Swarovski Crystal or a full square of 9 Swarovski Crystals, the time and effort that has been put into these clips is very obvious, and you are sure to get many compliments on your little girls accessories.  We get lots of compliments when she has her clips in.  The most common being, “how does that stay in her hair?”

Lemme Klip-Itz has over 20 pages of clips on her Etsy store, if you can not find something to match an outfit on the site, I’m sure Stephanie will be more that willing to make something for you – but I doubt you will have a problem finding something that you like – my guess is, you will want to get them all.

Flutterbye Dreams, an Etsy store run by Jodi in Moncton, New Brusnwick, Canada, specializes in hair clips for toddlers and baby clippies for little girls that have little to no hair, they also carry some soother clips and headbands in very modern fabrics.   Flutterbye Dreams also has some fun toddler accessories for special moments, they carry finger puppets (which are great for after visiting the doctor – I remember getting those as a child, and tooth fairy pillows – there is no need to put your teeth in an envelope anymore.

Flutterbye Dreams sent me some snap clips for review since Genevieve doesn’t have much hair.  I have to say that snap clips are the absolute best for a child that is nearly hairless.  The clips are super tiny,which makes them look right (proportionate) on her head and because there is a little rubber lining on the inside on the snap, the little clip stays in really well.  This type of hair clip is without a doubt the best that you can get. While out shopping, many people stop and ask how the clips are staying in Genevieve’s hair, everyone thinks it’s with velcro.  I take off the Flutterbye Dreams snap clip and show them the little rubber peice and then how easy it is to clip into her hair.  Everyone is very impressed with the simplicity, yet how effective they are.

I also received a tooth pillow from Flutterbye Dreams.  Genevieve is just getting her second tooth in right now, so I could not test it with a real tooth.  The tooth pillows are handmade by Flutterbye Dreams.  I received the tooth pillow with the two tulips on it.  I think this is just the sweetest idea for your child to hold their tooth safely during the night while waiting for the tooth fairy to come at night. There is a little pocket for the tooth to be protected in.  The quality of the pillow is excellent.  Flutterbye Dreams will make special custom pillows as well.

Flutterbye Dreams has some excellent prices for all their items, their larger clips are only $5 for a set of 4, and the small must have snap clips are only $3 for 4.  I have never seen prices so great for hair accessories for girls.  There are also 100’s of clip patterns to choose from, so there should be no problem matching the clips with any outfit you are looking to accessorize. The tooth pillows, soother clips, and 2 finger puppets are also only $5 as well.

Schnookums Bowtique is the creative designs of Erin Baker in Abbotsford, BC.  Schnookums Bowtique carries all kinds of different types of bows, for all different types of hair.  My daughter is still nearly hairless at 9 months, so I was happy to receive some no slip snappies, a no slip Baby Flower Snappie, and a beautiful no slip pink and brown mini bow.

Each clip came individually wrapped in it’s own little Schnookums Bowtique package.  The presentation was very nice. And the bows themselves were even nicer.  My favourite by far is the pink and brown mini bow that I received.  I thought that this was going to be too big for Genevieve’s head because she still only has peach fuzz, but this is by far the best looking thing she could wear on her head.  The bow is not too large, and it looks just fabulous with her pink and brown outfits.  The little hinge clip has a rubber grip on it which helps the bow stay in place.  It really only requires just  few hairs to stay, and believe me, that’s all Genevieve has – just a few hairs.  The clip will stay in for quite some time without coming off.  It depends what Genevieve is doing – sometimes I catch her trying to play with it, other times she leaves it alone.  This is something special we wear for a nice get together or an outing.  Everyone comments on how pretty her bow is.  I took her to a restaurant with this bow in her hair and the waitresses were just going “ga-ga” over the bow.  They all thought that it was stuck on there with velcro, but when I showed them the rubber padding, they couldn’t believe how well it worked.  I love this bow, and Genevieve looks absolutely adorable in it.

The other  clip that I received from Schnookums Bowtique also have the no slip rubber on them, but are clipped onto the hair with a little snap.  The rubber once again keeps the snaps from falling out of the hair.  The little flower looks really cute in Genevieve’s hair, and is not too large for her bald head.  The larger flower in the background is a denim material and on top of that there is a little pink and white dotted flower with a crystal (that has remained on the clip with some wear).  The last clip is a brown snappie with little with multicoloured dots.  This is the same snap system with a little rubber on one side to help the bow to stay in place.  This one is very tiny, and because its not showy the small clip blends in nicely.

I really enjoy the comments that Genevieve gets when she has her Schnookums Bowtique bows in.  It’s especially nice because many times, even though she is decked out in pink, people still manage to ask “What’s his name?”, and “how old is he?”  Thankfully, there are bow companies like Schnookums Bowtique, that are so girly, that there will be no mistaking my daughter for a son anymore.  Thank you Schnookums Bowtique for making this ultra girly hair bows, so people know I have a daughter!

The bows I received were all for nearly hairless children, Schnookums Bowtique also carries bows for toddlers and girls that would have more hair.  The bows and clips are larger. I also noticed on their website, that some people will clip the bows onto knitted hats – what a smart idea!

Womb to World started 10 years ago this February creating affordable wraps and slings for parents. My baby girl is nearly hairless at 6 months old, so I thought I would be hard pressed to find something that would work in her hair.  Whimsical Wearables has come up with a solution, it’s the  Itty Bitty collection. These tiny little clips are 1/2 the size of the regular clips but have the same grip as the big ones, so I was hopeful that they would work.

I received my beautifully wrapped up packages from Womb to World (like I said before, I love packaging), Jessica does a great job of packing up her little jewels.  Everything was neat and tidy in it’s own little package, with nice pink and brown (I just love that colour combination).   The package on the left hand side are singles including the Itty Bitty’s and the package on the right is a Trio pack.  The clips that I received look exactly the same as the pictures on the Internet, but the packaging is what gives it that extra touch.

The  Itty Bitty hair clips are amazing, they actually stay in my girls peach fuzz, and because they are so small, they don’t look silly on her head.  I usually put the clip on the top of her head and have the hair standing straight up.   Finally when we go shopping people know she is a girl now.  I always dress Genevieve in pink, but people were still saying “how old is he”, “what’s his name”.  With a pink bow in her hair, all those questions now have the word “her” in it.

Although tiny, there is no shortage on style and bling.  The  Itty Bitty clips have Swarovski crystals, and have the cutest patterns and bows.  These Whimsical Wearables are quality made and now have an adhesive that is waterproof.  (I was not able to test the new adhesive) If you are like me, many things end up in the wash, so not to worry if these clips get dirty and need to be washed, they should stay in tact.

The Itty Bitty’s are a great price to add a special girly touch especially for those girls with little to no hair.   Womb to World’s prices always includes shipping charges, so remember the price you see on her site is the price you pay.   If you purchase more than one item,  the prices will even be cheaper.  So make sure to order in bulk.

Jessica also sent me one of her Trio packs.  This is 3 clips that look similar, but are all different.  Again, I just love the brown and pink combo, so I was drawn to the Cupcake Cutie Trio, but there are other trios as well, Ballerina, Princess, you name it, there is something to match every girls outfit.  Some of the trios are on sale for online $5.95 a pack, and don’t forget Womb to World prices ALWAYS includes the shipping cost.   The Trio clips are the regular size and have the same no slip grip, therefore they will stay in only a little bit of hair.  These would stay in my baby’s hair, but becuase she has so little hair, and the clip is heavy it looks too large for her small head.  When her hair gets a little longer and her head gets bigger these clips will be great.

For great customer service, a great product and a great price, you should purchase your clips at Womb to World.  I would especially suggest buying the Itty Bitty collection if  you have a baby with little hair.  The smaller size works great, and looks great too.
