Not that I have any experience being a boy, but I love being a girl. Although, 90% of my time these days is spent in comfy clothes I used to really enjoy getting my hair and nails done and “getting pretty”. As the mother of an 11 month old those days are often few and far between. The heel height is 3 inches and I was able to walk in them quite nicely. Although they are lined, there are no grips on the bottom so are ideal for the warmer weather. MUK LUKS style shoes are so popular right now, whether they are boots for the winter or just for wearing them around the house as slippers.  I hate having cold feet, I even wear socks to bed every night.  I find that if my feet (or nose) are cold, there is nothing I can do to warm up the rest of my body.

I recently received a pair of MUK LUKS from Reliable of Milwaukee for review.  They have a wide variety of MUK LUKS to choose from, both boots and slippers.  Tall, short, ballerina and booties in all different sorts of styles, plaid, pink, print and fur.  I choose a pair of Heart knit Toggle slippers for review.   These warm snugly booties keep my toes toasty warm as soon as I get home from work, until I go to bed.  The inside is made with fleece lining.  The bottoms are made with a non-slip rubber and have cute little prints of hearts.  I’m guessing that these could be worn outside, but I choose to keep them for indoor use only.  There is also a toggle strap that can be pulled along the calf to ensure that the top part of the boots stay up.

I received the boots in size 6 1/2 – 7 1/2.  I usually wear size 7, so the booties should fit perfect.  However, I do find that I could have gotten one size bigger, maybe 7 – 8, as my toes seem to touch the front of the boot.  Despite thinking I could use a bigger size, the slippers are still comfortable.  The insoles have a memory foam, which makes them nice and fluffy when walking.

There are an unlimited amount of choices of MUK LUKS style booties and slippers at Reliable of Milwaukee, if you are looking for this style of boot, you will definitely be able to find something you like.  Keeping your toes warm during the winter season is a must, so you may as well look good while keeping your tootsies warm.

We love shoes;  we are a family of shoe lovers. My husband in particular usually has  4 pairs at any given time but is so choosy about his shoes and why he likes them as am I. We believe we have passed on our love for a good pair of shoes to our son. The rest of the shoe is made from a soft brushed cotton and is fully lined. Each shoe is hand crafted in the US and we especially love how roomy the boot is so it will fit our chubby dude’s feet. As a new parent sometimes its hard to know what size shoe to get and often a pair that fits at 6 months doesn’t fit at 8 months so we often purchase shoes that he can only wear for a few months and that has become quite costly. I love that the Soft Star Shoes Wolie Loden Shoes have a draw string around the ankle so you can pull them in tighter if you need to and you know they won’t fall off. This is great because you can wear them on your children from birth to about a year maybe more depending on the size of your child’s foot. Our little dude’s feet are quite fat but not so long yet, I think he’ll be able to wear his from now straight through the winter and early spring, that’s quite cost effective! Christmas Gift Idea for the baby shoe lover

Before I became a parent, I would judge children’s apparel on looks alone. I had no idea that certain features could make kid’s clothing way better than the original version. Sure, the weird little pockets, zippers and snaps were interesting to look at, but I had no concept of what purpose they served, if any. This steep learning curve has forced me to reflect on some of the cringe worthy gifts I have given over the years to mothers-to-be; I wish I could take them all back to better spend my money. Now I shop primarily for innovative features; if the clothing happens to look great, so much the better.

Take for example one of the latest products that I received for review as a perfect example of what to look for – and how those handy features make a real difference when you most need them to. The item is a pair of chocolate leather boots from Bobux; they are not only beautiful but wonderfully functional. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: The boots slide on easily thanks to elasticized ankles. They stay on for that very same reason. My kid loves to pull her footwear off, so this is a must have feature for us, lest I feel the need to retrace my steps every time I visit the grocery store looking for her lost footwear. Because of the elastics, I don’t have to fiddle with laces or buttons when she swings her feet to avoid getting dressed. And I don’t have to worry about anything poking into her on the inside of the boot.

The leather is soft and is specially branded as Eco-Leather, meaning that the tanning process produces environmentally friendly and biodegradable leather (traditional tanning methods use heavy metals and pose a health risk). Essentially, this means that I don’t have to freak out when my daughter sucks on her shoes. Bobux shoes wash off easily, and if you have read my previous reviews, you know how important this is to my daughter’s strained-carrot-spit-up habit. In addition, they are lined with a soft plush, making them warm and comfy for her. The soles grip the floor so she can move around without slipping; this type of sole is apparently very good for their foot development. AND they are fashionable – my daughter wears them with both pants and dresses.
