Global Home Resorts in Orlando

Have you been to Florida before? If not, I highly suggest it!  For the past 2 years we’ve spent an entire month in this incredible state.  It pretty much has everything, warmth, water, fun and it’s inexpensive compared to Canada.  It turns out Millions of other people have also discovered the awesomeness of Florida and finding a place to rent can be a challenge (even with thousands of places to rent).   We’ve tried to find independent renters only to be told time after time the place is rented out.  It can be very discouraging.  Thankfully, there are professionals to help make your vacation less stressful before you even get there.

Global Home Resorts in Kissimmee helped us find a place so we could spent a week in the sun worry free.  We stayed at the Oak Water Resort.  This was actually our second time staying at this condo complex.  It’s just a few miles away from Disney and the rest of the Orlando action so the location is superb!

The condo we stayed in (2714 Oak Water) was much larger and closer to the pool than the other unit we stayed in last year (when you have a 4 year old, that is a major bonus).  They also finished off the Tiki bar, a splash park for the kids and a little play ground.  While you may think that condo complexes are built to cater seniors, think again – they bring the grand kids with them on vacation so these complexes have to accommodate the whole family.  Next to the pool there is a club house that also has a gym, a games room and a common area if you just want to hang out.

This specific unit is 2 stories, with 3 bedrooms (King bed, 2 single beds, double bed), 2.5 baths, a garage and in suite laundry.  We travelled with a 2 month old baby, and while they are a very tiny person, they come with a lot of accessories and a lot of laundry loads.   Having in suite laundry is a must with a baby.  Global Home Resorts also leaves an into kit with all the necessities such as TP and soap so if you arrive late at night without the opportunity to get to a store you can use the potty (Believe me, not every place you rent will have these things when you arrive).  The unit is also very clean and completely bug free.  While we were there we had a visit from the exterminator, just for up keep not because there were any bugs.

The condo is very modernly decorated and open concept, there were 5 of us staying there and it was roomy enough for us all. We all had our own TV if we wanted it, there’s Wi-Fi and an inviting desk on the main floor in case you have to do some work while on vacation.  There’s also a Lanai if you would rather do your work in an enclosed warm area to help you remember your suppose to be on vacation and not working.

We were really pleased with this unit, the location is great, it feels safe and it had everything that we were looking for.  The only thing we were sad about,,,, was having to leave.

With over 300 rentals (houses and condos), let Global find a home for you, it’s much easier than trying to find a place for yourself!

  1. I think you are the first person I have seen that didnt stay in Windsor Hills. lol
So we should be bringing our own TP? Is that right?

    • Not if you’re renting with Global, they will make sure you have a few rolls, but if you rent with other homes, you might have to.

  2. Great pictures looks very roomy and very clean. What a good idea to rent a condo instead of staying in a hotel so much more room and things to do.

  3. Spending a whole month in Florida would be wonderful, you are so lucky. Great pictures and this resort looks great, I will have to check it out.
