I liked that the Playtex Diaper Genie Elite was very easy to set up out of the box. The foot pedal is very convenient for hands-free use and eliminates bending, so is easier on my back. This product really contains the diaper odours well, better than other diaper pails. The size and capacity is good to hold more diapers at a time before it needs to be emptied. The only drawback is the high price of the refills, but it is well worth it for the convenience and odour control.

I received my Diaper Genie Elite last week and have been trying it since with my cousin’s three month old son that I babysit. Here is my opinion so far:
Assembling the Diaper Genie was very easy, literally a snap!
I had it done and set up within a few minutes.
I was surprised how big it was. I had a Diaper Genie with my oldest son back in 2001 (can’t remember the model), and it was a lot smaller. I like that it is bigger as I can put a lot more diapers in it, and with the added foot pedal, I can just step, toss, and twist with no bending down. The Diaper Genie has a very nice, sleek looking design. Although it is big, its design makes it look great in nearly any room.
So far the Diaper Genie has been great for preventing any diaper odors. Since I have been using it, there have been no stinky diaper smell in my house. Previously, I had to tie each diaper up in a bag and dispose of it to get rid of odors, and even that wasn’t cutting it.
I highly recommend the Diaper Genie Elite. My cousin was so happy with my Diaper Genie Elite that he went and purchased one this weekend (it was on sale at Wal-Mart!) to use in his own home. I plan to keep using the one I received for when I babysit and for my next baby (still trying!).

It`s my new favourite baby item of the year, and I`ve been recommending it to everyone I know with a baby in their family.
I LOVE my Diaper Genie Elite. It was SUPER easy to set up, and I love that it has a sleek clean design. The foot pedal allows for easy hands free operation, and doesn’t require any bending or struggling with your hands full. It absolutely lived up to all of the companies claims, especially with the fact that it kept things odour free and clean. I think it’s great that it has a red line on the bag as well, to let you know it’s getting full and even better that it has a built in cutter for easy removal of the bag when full. I would Highly recommend this product to anyone with a baby in diapers. FANTASTIC product!!

Fabulous product. It was simple to set up, use, remove used diapers and refill the bag system! The bag refills hold tons of newborn diapers! It doesn’t smell and is sleek enough to fit anywhere and not ruin the look of your room. I would greatly recommend this to anyone!

I would suggest any parent to buy the Diaper Genie. I loved the fact it had the foot pedal so that it is hands free when changing the baby. It was good on the odor control and simple to use which was a plus. The refills are somewhat expensive but for the odorless upstairs and hands free factor I can take the little extra expense. I would give it a 5 star and recommend it to anyone!
