As a Mom of two girls, you may think Thomas isn’t a house hold name that I would know. We encourage all types of play in our home, and try not to distinguish between what would be typically called girl and boy toys. We like to play with things that are fun! We have plenty of train sets in our house and even watch train shows such as Thomas.
Thomas is now part of the Fisher Price family! Welcome Thomas,James, Percy, Gordon, Henry, Emily, Toby…… And Lynette? Yes, that’s right, now I (and your kids) can be in the middle of a storybook with Thomas and the rest of his crew! It’s very easy to make your very own personalized book. Just visit the Open the World of Imagination website, pick a book and enter your name and gender (or a friends name) and their very own book is ready to read with their favourite train characters.
There are currently two books to choose from, but there will be new books each month, so make sure to check back. This month of of the options is “Let it Snow” very appropriate for this time of year in Canada. I’m hoping as the snow melts and we enter into Spring the monthly book theme will also follow suit.
For the Thomas addict (I know a few young ones that are completely obsessed with Thomas), there is also a collection check list on the brand new site that will track all the Thomas trains your little one already has and the ones that they want. Let the kids have fun clicking away at all the trains, I’m sure they will all be checked by the time they are done.
Enjoy sharing this new adventure with your little one, I know they are going to love it! (and Welcome Thomas and his friends to Fisher Price!!)

I can’t wait until my youngest son really gets into Thomas. Heaven knows we have heaps of the stuff around here!
We love personalized books around here. My oldest especially loves seeing her name and wants to have them read to her over and over.
