Carters & OshKosh at Sears

How have you acquired most of your children’s clothing?  Hand me downs? Gifts? Second hand shops?  No Matter how you get their clothing, one thing that is guaranteed, is that our children’s clothing is put through the wringer… and I know we all know that some last longer and are better quality than others.

OshKosh & Carters are two quality made kids clothing companies and they are now available at Sears.  We love Carters and already have much of their clothing in our home.  We especially love the footed jammies, Princess Sleepover even has some footed jammies in size 5 & 6 in the Carter’s brand – they are her F-A-V-O-U-R-I-T-E!  We received a marvellous package from Sears with clothing for both the kids.  Check out this skirt for the baby… what’s cuter than a small baby?  Why… a small baby in a skirt of course!  (Adorable, right?!? .. I sure think so).

(In case you can’t read the print on her shirt, it says ” So Pretty (just like my Mom)”

On top of the wonderful addition of OshKosh & Carters clothing to the Sears line, I also want to emphasize the incredible clothing guarentee at Sears.  Keep your receipts and any clothing that doesn’t outlast all the kids in your house will be exchanged for new clothes.  That’s right, even hand me downs to younger siblings.  If you have the receipts, Sears will exchange them if the kids have trashed them (we need to find a place that will do the same with baseboards & appliances).

This week, there are a few events surrounding the launch of this new partnership, Family Day and a “chill” event to bring awareness to child cancers.   On Sunday, February 17th The Great Canadian Chill event (Read: Polar Bear Dip), will be right in the center of the City at Yonge-Dundas square, with pools and hot tubs – how fun is that? Check out The Chill for more info.  On Monday, February 18th there will be a Family Day event with fun activities, treats, children’s authors and more from 10am – 2pm.

Check out the Sears Facebook Page for the February 15th launch and also a special Carters & OshKosh giveaway.

Not yet. I think they are too young to be hard on them still but they do ruin them with paint and food.

tammy jeffery February 12, 2013 at 11:04 pm

for sure, their kids, wouldn’t have it any other way

Camille Klassen February 12, 2013 at 11:10 pm

Absolutely! But I don’t stress about it! They grow out of them so quickly anyways!

lisa bolduc February 12, 2013 at 11:19 pm

Aren’t kids always hard on clothes, ha ha!!!

Jonnie February 12, 2013 at 11:59 pm

Oh yes! They put the knees out of pants so quick

andrea February 13, 2013 at 12:15 am

Our daughter just turned 5, and she seems to be getting worse as she gets older lol. There seem to be a lot less ‘hand me downs’ when she’s done with her clothes lately, as they are either ripped or stained, or both! I think our son was the worst though….knocked the knees out of everything lol!

Christy Martin February 13, 2013 at 12:22 am

I think all kids are hard on their clothing! I think for the most part though, parents are even more hard on their clothing, with constant washing, drying, washing, drying. Sometimes it is easier to toss it in the laundry that it is to set aside it to re-wear.

Wanda Tracey February 13, 2013 at 1:44 am

They crawl on their knees until they wear holes in them and then some of those stain are WHat???…hey can be something I fed them.!!

darci February 13, 2013 at 2:00 am

If they aren’t hard on their clothes then they aren’t getting down and busy!

Lindsey February 13, 2013 at 8:01 am

Theresa Michalik February 13, 2013 at 8:38 am

No, my son is really good with his clothes.

Jennifer A. February 13, 2013 at 10:45 am

Yes but depending on the quality of the clothes some can take it and some can’t Carters and OshKosh have always been a reliable brand.

TJ February 13, 2013 at 11:03 am

This is awesome! My daughter could use new clothes!

Jeannie February 13, 2013 at 11:44 am

My oldest is really hard on his clothes. Holes are always forming on the knees of his jeans and so many of his shirt are stained that I don’t even know how he does it sometimes.

tennille February 13, 2013 at 12:09 pm

i find now that my son is older and doesn’t grow out of clothes as fast we have worn through a few pairs of jeans. But neither of my kids is hard on clothes

Not too hard, but by the time the clothes have gone through both boys, I’m sure they’ll be pretty worn.

Corrinne February 17, 2013 at 2:23 am

My daughter is on the go ALL day. She totally destroys her clothes. We let her make all the messes she wants (in her play room). Washable paints and markers aren’t really that washable, and ALL food stains! lol

Claire February 17, 2013 at 12:06 pm

Our 3rd daughter rarely gets anything new! She doesn’t seem to mind yet though!

Amy Bailey February 17, 2013 at 6:46 pm

Not really they mostly still look new.

Belinda McNabb February 17, 2013 at 10:11 pm

suprisingly not

Erin Card February 18, 2013 at 2:48 pm

This is our first so everyone kindly gave us there second hand baby clothes! Just having to wash over and over makes them wear quickly!!! Especially if you have to scrub out stains!

Steph Bkn February 20, 2013 at 4:38 pm

Yes! My 11month old is wearing holes in the knees of her pants from being on the go all the time (crawling) but the tile floor doesn’t help either :s My 2 yr old is a typical rough housing boy too always on the go, thank goodness kid number 2 was a girl, his clothes wouldn’t be able to be passed down!
