The Rocky Horror Halloween Dance – March of Dimes Giveaway & Twitter Party

by Mommy on September 27, 2012

Last year, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Rock for Dimes – March of Dimes event in Halifax.  This is an annual event that raises awareness and funds for people with disabilities.  If you’re looking to extend the Halloween season, there’s a party on Thursday October 25th that you wont want to miss.   Along with  dancing, there’s also a friendly competition between local bands.

Here’s the details:

Date: October 25, 2012
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Location: Cunard Centre, 961 Marginal Road, Halifax, NS B3H 4P6
Cost: General: $30, Students $15 at the door only. A limited number of reserved tables are available
($300 per table, seats 10 persons)
How to purchase: At the event, or Call: 1-800-263-3463, or visit website: www.rockfordimes.ca

Not only will you be able to have a good time listening to local bands, you can also feel great knowing that you are supporting a great cause.  I actually have a family member that has benefited from March of Dimes twice.  He now has an elevator in his family home, so he can enjoy spending time with his family where ever they may be.

I hope to see you there, but I understand it’s not always possible to attend these events.  But if you are still looking for a way to support Rock For Dimes, you can donate by texting the word “ SUPPORT” to 45678 to donate $10.

A Busy Mommy and I also have a few fun activities of our own to get you excited about the big day.

The first is a Twitter Party:

I don’t know anyone who could benefit… I guess I should count myself very lucky.

Luck to be able to say that none of my friends or family need the March of Dimes’ help, but we donate for those that do.
