Have you been to the Theater yet to see Nemo 3D? Ok, I know it’s only been out since yesterday, but don’t wait too long, cause it’s only in theaters shortly. Along with the great plot, there are some amazing well developed characters as well. Dory is without a doubt a favourite, but who else steals the show? How about those Turtles? Crush and his family, including his son Squirt definitely are impressionable on the kids – Dude!
While in LA last month, I, along with the other bloggers had the opportunity to meet Crush, ask some questions and get a special photo. So, I’m sure you’re thinking that we met a dressed up character – but no, we actually meet him on a big screen, but he was “live” and engaging with us – it’s like we had a 150 year old turtle up on stage, live in person… um… turtle.
I learned there’s a lot of facts you can learn from a Turtle who’s been swimming the EAC (East Australia Current) for 150 years, and that every parent no matter how many kids you have remembers each and every one of their children. Crush has 65 kids, and he named them off just as easily as if he only had one. Most named after famous goups (Ninja turtles, Saved by the Bell….) and then of course, there’s his youngest, Squirt.
Seeing as we we’re all parents, we had some parenting questions for the experienced dad. Here’s what Crush’s advice to parents is: “Love Each other, hangout, play games, keep happy kids active – when they are older they can swim by themselves. Family is MUY Importante!”
If you’re kids want to have a personal conversation with Crush (and you might even get a special appearance from Squirt) visit his aquarium at Disneyland in California. As for Squirt, he has some great advice as well “in the great ocean of life, when it brings you a gnarly wave, ride it!” I can say without a doubt, Crush and his family are practising what they preach.
