Baby #2 is A……

First I want to apologise on the length of time it’s taken to get this info out.  I know you’ve ALL been anxiously waiting on the edge of your computer screens to know the gender of My Wee View Baby Number 2!  

It seems there’s a bit of a disconnect with our health care system.  We had our 20 week ultrasound on August 17th and were told the ultrasound tech would tell us the gender right then and there.  After grilling the tech we were told to contact our doctor on Tuesday – the report would be sent to her office and she can tell us the results over the phone…. so Tuesday came, and I called the office, of course we also wanted to ensure all was ok with Baby Number 2 (and it was), and then came the big question.. BOY or GIRL.  Unfortunately, the nurses couldn’t give up the info over the phone, it would have to wait until our next appointment – which was today.

When we first told Princess I’m Going To Be a Big Sister I was expecting a baby, she was thrilled! She was having a sister and that was that!  Of course us adults know it’s a 50/50 chance with each pregnancy and we wanted Princess There’s no Other Option but a Girl to understand there’s a possibility this baby might actually be a boy.

Along the way she had also convinced herself I may also be having a baby kitty, as long as I came home with a small mammal sometimes after Christmas, she was happy!  Luckily the ultrasound confirmed I am indeed having a healthy homo sapien.

So enough with the small talk you’re saying right… so here it goes – we’re very proud to announce Princess #1′s Original wish has come true!  Hubby is out numbered 3 to 1.  After writing this post last week, I’m excited to see them grow up together.

I must say, hubster and I both guessed this after watching the live ultrasound, I guess we’re amateur ultrasound techs!  

Now to pick a name…. thankfully we can throw 1/2 of them out!
