Wordless Wednesday: Sisters (w.Linky)

by Mommy on August 28, 2012

I always wanted a sister… I do have a brother which I love dearly, we are however 7 years apart so are more like only children then actually siblings that played together or …. fought!

When I watched The Secret of Wings in LA last week for the #DisneyInHomeBloggers event, it made me want a sister even more… anyone else looking for a sister?

If you have a Wordless Wednesday, please make a comment below and link ‘er up

I have two sisters and they’re awesome, however my daughter does not have a sister…makes me very sad for her :(

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 8:21 pm

awww,,, see, I don’t know what I’m missing. I do hope however that this little one in my tummy is a girl so princess will be able to experience the sister I never had.

Elizabeth L August 28, 2012 at 9:06 pm

I have a sister who is two years younger. We used to do nothing but fight but now as adults we are like good friends!

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 9:31 pm

:) That’s so nice! Did you share clothes and shoes.. that’s what I dreamed about, I had to share with my Mom.. LOL

Elizabeth L August 28, 2012 at 10:00 pm

My sister always got some of my hand-me downs but we always had such different styles that we never really shared!

Randa August 28, 2012 at 9:06 pm

Haha too cute!

Thanks for linking up!

Pam August 28, 2012 at 9:38 pm

My sister just moved back to Michigan after being here for the last year. I miss her already and my niece and nephew. Sisters are very precious.

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 9:45 pm

aww Pam, that is very sad. I’m sorry to hear that. Thank goodness for the internet and Skype, I hope you will still be able to be in close contact!

alissa apel August 28, 2012 at 9:47 pm

I have 2 sisters. At times I’d give 1 of them away. LOL One is kind of difficult. I love them though.

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 9:56 pm

you’re very fortunate to have two! I’d even take your seconds just to have one :)

Laura August 28, 2012 at 10:07 pm

Now that is too cute! Thanks for sharing. I have 2 sisters, one has passed away but I still have one to love!

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 10:19 pm

awww, I’m so sorry to hear that Laura. Sisters are so special, my mother has 3, but recently just lost one… as well.

Diana @ Toronto Teacher Mom August 28, 2012 at 10:11 pm

I’d LOVE to have you as a younger sister! My brother didn’t take to kindly to us dressing him up as a girl…

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 10:21 pm

aww. Thanks Diana :) mine brother didn’t either!

Diana @ Toronto Teacher Mom August 28, 2012 at 10:35 pm

orangeheromama August 28, 2012 at 10:16 pm

Mommy August 28, 2012 at 10:22 pm

Jody @ Mommy Moment August 28, 2012 at 10:50 pm

My closest sister is 11 years younger than me…..

Kathryn August 28, 2012 at 11:18 pm

I have one sister and four half-sisters and that’s enough for me! It is nice but I’m sure we had our share of scuffles when we were younger!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 8:47 pm

I bet you all get along great now Kat! With just a few minor scuffles :)

Kathryn August 29, 2012 at 11:26 pm

Yes, we totally do! Adulthood’s great that way, it smooths over so many childhood woes! ;)

Jennifer @ Mom Spotted August 29, 2012 at 12:26 am

What a fun trip! You know I was talking about this movie on facebook how my boys (even the 11 year old) was asking to see this one!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 8:50 pm

awww. it’s a really sweet movie Jen! Innocent and very touching! I’m sure the boys will like it too!

It's OK to be WEIRD! August 29, 2012 at 12:53 am

I have a sister – it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. LOL! HAHAHAHA! I’m only half kidding. :)

I love this picture – so cute!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 8:50 pm

HA, I’m sure it has it’s moments too Raylene :)

Chris - Canadian Dad August 29, 2012 at 2:59 am

Here’s how much my daughter has me wrapped around her finger. I’m actually jealous that you got to see that movie already, lol!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 8:51 pm

LOL! Yup sounds about right.. daddy’s girl! It’s a great movie Chris, nothing scary for the little ones. No mean monsters or anything!

Tammy @inRdream August 29, 2012 at 6:49 am

I am struggling with this with my DD6 now. She has 3 little brothers and I feel so bad I haven’t given her a sister for life!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:04 pm

aww. she is very lucky to have 3 brothers, she will be well protected and can be a princess all the time with no one to compete with :)

Michelle August 29, 2012 at 7:02 am

Nope, I have one! An even at our age, we still fight and argue!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:04 pm

:) At least you can both be yourselves!

BusyWorkingMama August 29, 2012 at 7:03 am

I have a sister already, but being 10 years older than her puts us in very different phases in life!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:06 pm

I get that! the age difference can be hard when you’re “younger”, when you’re both older hopefully the age wont be as noticeable!

AnnMarie Brown August 29, 2012 at 8:53 am

too cute!

I am always looking for a sister although I have met some people over the last few years that I am definitely connected to like a sister!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:35 pm

That can happen too AnnMarie, and cause you can pick your friends and not your family.. sometimes it works out better :)

Brandi August 29, 2012 at 9:17 am

I have a brother who’s 5 years older, and there’s been times I thought it would be nice to have the closeness of a sister, but I wouldn’t change it :)

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:36 pm

I hear ya! I love my little brother, but it would be nice to have a sister… maybe 3 kids rather than 2 :)

Paula Schuck August 29, 2012 at 9:40 am

I will be your sister! I thought you were going to say that you found out the baby is a girl. Hmmm…happy Wednesday. What fun!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:36 pm

Not yet! Suppose to be next Thursday now…. it’s been a waiting game that’s for sure!

Mommy Outside August 29, 2012 at 10:37 am

I have two brothers and I can’t say I ever wished for a sister…

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:54 pm

:) That’s so nice! are you close in age?

Mommy outside August 29, 2012 at 10:01 pm

My older brother is almost 2 years old and my little brother is 10 years younger. I had my hands full enough with those two I can’t imagine throwing another girl into the mix!

Adelina Priddis August 29, 2012 at 10:57 am

I’ve got 2 sisters I love to death! One is 2 years younger than me, the other is 9 years younger. I can’t wait for the new Tinkerbell movie!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:54 pm

It’s going to make you love your sisters even more! There’s lots of power in sisters!

Adelina Priddis August 30, 2012 at 12:08 am

There really is! Can’t wait! I’m so glad I’ve got 3 girls of my own now that get to enjoy being sisters.

Nessa August 29, 2012 at 1:11 pm

Great pic!

I have a wonderful older sister and incredible younger sister. I am also blessed to have great friends who are just as close as family.

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:55 pm

:) you’re very fortunate! Those are hard to find!

steph August 29, 2012 at 4:10 pm

I have always wanted a sister too. I just have a younger brother.

Jennifer August 29, 2012 at 5:20 pm

oh me too Lynette, I longed for a sister!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:56 pm

:) Me too Jen, Me too…

Wendy [mapsgirl] August 29, 2012 at 5:23 pm

I always wanted a sister. Now I get to watch my daughters grow up together!!

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:56 pm

Isn’t that great Wendy? Although I’m happy with whatever I have, it would be extra special to have another girl for this exact reason!

Insane Mamacita August 29, 2012 at 7:33 pm

I used to have a sister but now he’s my brother! :)

Mommy August 29, 2012 at 9:59 pm

:) We live in a great world where things like this can happen, and it’s ok and accepted! So happy your sister was able to be who she always felt that she was!

MBAMama August 30, 2012 at 10:20 pm

I have a sister, and although there are days when we would like to rip each other’s hair out, I wouldn’t trade her for the world. My poor girl – three brothers. How many times she has begged for a sister…
