The Body Shop – Closed

With Valentines Day less than a month away, ladies it’s time to start thinking about what you’d like your loved one(s) to get you.  Are you the kind of person that let’s your partner pick out a gift on their own, or do you make suggestive hints?  I make strong suggestive hints – as in “can I borrow your credit card? I know what I’d like for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, My Birthday…. your birthday” (what’s mine is mine and what’s his is mine.. right?)

Ok, you got me, I’m not exactly THAT pushy, he does frequently get me gifts on his own (which usually end up back at the store), but if there’s one thing he can be absolutely sure I’ll love, it’s ….. chocolate.  Yep, without a doubt Chocolate is a gift I can love any time of year.  I’m constantly reminded how much I love chocolate every morning when I try to put my pants on.  I know I’m not alone when it comes to chocolate and love – the word on the street (and Twitter) is, ladies love chocolate.

Men, this year you’re job of getting the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day just got a whole lot easier Thanks to The Body Shop.  A new product line called Chocomania. I had the opportunity to test out some of the new chocolate scented products! My favourite by far is the body scrub.  Not only does it leave my skin feeling moistened and soft, it smelled good enough to eat.  I actually did manage to get come on my lips and please take it from me, it’s not meant for human consumption (says so right on the jar).  I lathered the exfoliant over my whole body and even considered asking DH to come and put it on my back, but I wasn’t exactly sure where that would have lead to…  So, I managed to get as much as I could on my back by myself.  (Hey, it was 6 in the evening and Princess Never Sleep was still up).

I also tried out the chocomania cream, and while it had a hint of chocolate I also found it to be a bit too perfumey (I wasn’t tempted to taste this one).  There is also a heart shaped soap – which I haven’t had the chance to use myself because Princess Bath Time has claimed it, chocolate lip balm, shower gel and body butter.

Chocolate is without a doubt my number one pick for a Valentine’s Day gift… well next to expensive diamonds – but we share a bank account (what’s yours is mine,,, remember?).  Chocolate and a spa/pamper day?  Men, she’ll be asking you to exfoliate her back for sure.  Just make sure the kids are asleep.
