Saturday’s are busy in our house, not only do we have Gymnastics for Princess Cant Sit Still, we also do all our running around for the entire week on this one day. Groceries, shopping for house hold goods, hair cuts, car maintenance, it seems that Saturday is the day we do it all.
We try to maximize our day by organizing and getting as many things complete at one store as we can. Although I always try to save money by going through fliers and finding the cheapest prices for items, I also value my time and sanity. Driving around the city with a 3 year old to save a few bucks isn’t worth the extra cost in Tylenol.

This week, I went on a mission to find The New Equal Canister at WalMart. We had a few things to pick up anyway, shovels, eye makeup remover, T-Discs and salt & vinegar chips, so picking up Equal was just one more item to add to our list. I sent the Hubster and Princess Can’t Settle Down While Shopping on their own to pick out 2 shiny new shovels, while I searched for Equal.

I first went to the baking department, and looked high and low for Equal only to notice it wasn’t on the shelf. I do have a tendency to over look things when they are right in front of my face, so my first instinct was to doubt myself. I quickly found a WalMart Staff member in the food department and asked if they carried Equal. Thankfully, he was educated on the subject and lead me to the exact place the Equal was stocked – in the prescription area. At first, my small brain was like “Huh?” But then it occurred to me, yes, this is why people like my grandmother uses it, she’s diabetic. So, it totally made sense that it was in this section.

The price for this large canister was right, at only $7.97. While this was suppose to be the Rollback price, there was no indication to say it was in fact a Rollback, it simply stated it was a New product. I took my yellow can, which stands out very bright, eventually found my family and bought our stuff to the cashier. This is the part of the assignment I always like… making sure the Price is Right – just like the TV show. And sure enough, it was. (Just as a side note, if the prices in’t right, you can get it free at most places).

Overall, I had a nice morning trip at WalMart and was able to find everything we were looking for! As Special Agent Oso would say “Assignment Complete”!
I’m now looking forward to baking with Princess Bake a Lot. This is one of our favourite past times especially during the winter months.

Sounds like you just like my mom and I. We were at Walmart today.
I multitask too, Lynette. Seems the only way to get things done and keep the sanity intact, nice photos!
Haha, love that you are Oso brainwashed as well
Saturdays here are usually busy but today we took it easy and stayed home. Tomorrow we will do the whole grocery trip to a couple stores while my DD is at a party. I can’t wait to see what you bake with your princess
