Luxe Box – Closed

Decorations are put away and the feelings of  Christmas are all but memories we will hold with us until next year when new memories are made.  While most of you may have your Christmas gifts tucked away, I am eagerly expecting a gift each month for the rest of the year.  That’s because my husband gave me a 1 year Luxe Box subscription for Christmas (it’s the gift that keeps on giving).

The December Luxe Box included:

  • Prada Candy & Infusion D’iris
  • DDF Firming Cream
  • Kersatase Elixir Ultime
  • Velour Upper Lashes
  • and a Luxe Box Chocolate

Once again, when the box arrived, my mother and I raided it like it was halloween candies, taking our favourites and stashing them away.  She went for the firming creams and as for me, I wanted the Prada Candy perfume and the Velour lashes.

I have never used fake lashes before, but was pumped to get them on.  Thankfully, it was around the holidays so there would be ample opportunity to give my new eyes a try.  The lashes are made from mink and are reusable – up to 25 times. I have so far used them at least 4 times and the are not showing any sign of wear or tear.  The instructions on the Velour site were simple to follow. I had to purchase special eyelash glue ($3 from Shoppers) and  just as simple as the videos, my new look was complete.  It really made my eyes pop, and I love them! Can’t wait ’till our next outing when I can put them on again.

The eyelashes themselves are $65 on the Velour website, so this month my Luxe Box has more than paid for itself (and the next 3 boxes)

I’m just as excited for this month (and the next 11 months) Luxe Box to arrive.  I’m sure like me, it’s not too often we Moms splurge on ourselves.  A full year subscription is only $120 – which isn’t much of a splurge at all.  If you have a closet full of gifts you plan on regifting next year – why not get yourself something you KNOW you will enjoy? I’m glad I did.
