Christmas Gift Idea for Moms, Dads and families
Capturing family memories on Christmas day is a must and nothing is easier to film those moments than with the Kodak Playfull Video Camera. This video camera is a simple, small hand held device that easily records your families best memories with a simple push of a button.
There are a number of features that make this camera a cut above the rest. The first and foremost is it’s simplicity. Press the on button, and the big black record button in the middle and it’s recording. I would be able to give this to my Mom and she could figure it out.
Now, if you want to get fancy, there are some extra special treats available while video taping (and are just as easy to turn on or off). My favourite is the effects section. By changing the settings I can tape video in:
- Black and White
- High Saturation
- And of course normal
Video taping our family like it’s the 70’s would be lots of fun! I tried to take a picture for you to show what the effects look like.
The video camera has many different ways to get your videos off your camera and onto your computer and favourite social media sites. Either with a memory card or with a USB which is nicely hidden on the top section of the camera. Set up took a few minutes, I was able to include email addresses and other forms of media (such as Facebook or Flickr) so I could have videos automaticall uploaded to my favourite sites. I personally like the email option so video could easily be sent to grandparents and other family members that are away. (Especially sending Christmas morning video, so they will also be able to see the excitement on DD’s face).
The software also comes with a movie maker. It’s simple to add frames, crop your video and even add music. With some practice I’m sure I will get better at it and will eventually be posting some nice videos on here. For now, it’s a work in progress.
This Christmas, make sure to capture those once in a life time memories. DD will only be 3 once, so I want to make sure to get Christmas 2011 on video.
