Christmas Gift Idea for kids
It’s great having a unique name. If I ever happen to hear the name Lynette during a conversation, I can be sure they are talking about me, or I just imagine they are talking about me – especially when it’s good stuff. I have to admit, I don’t hear my name being used often for good or bad in regular conversation. The only Lynette’s to make it big are Lynette Jennings (whatever happened to her) and Lynette from Desperate Housewives – who is really Felicity Huffman and not a real Lynette anyway.
Receiving personalized items when your name is Lynette, or Fred or even Jennifer for that matter is pretty special. It means someone saw something with your name on it, thought of you and then purchased it – just for you – how special. But what about when your name is Lynette or DD and you just can’t get anything off the shelf at your regular big box store with your name on it? What happens to those poor soles? Will their key chains get lost or will they not be able to get paper stuck on their fridge without a personalized magnet? I’m sure such dilemmas have kept you up at night – especially if your name is Lynette – which I guess it probably isn’t seeing as only 1 in every 5,088 Americans is named Lynette. But chances are you also have a name and you may also have a unique name and so the idea of losing your keys and your papers falling off your fridge has kept you up at night too. Well, not to worry, there is a solution to getting you back to sleeping at night…. there are online stores that will make speciality personalized items no matter what your name is.
One store I am in love with is I See Me, they make personalized books. I recently had the opportunity to review one of their Christmas personalized books, but I didn’t get it for myself, I got it for DD – an equally unique name, but much more difficult to spell.
This Christmas Book, entitled “DD’s Very Merry Christmas” is adorable, it’s about animals getting to Santa to ensure a gift is brought to DD. Every page in the book is hard, making it perfect for even the younger kidlets (the drooly type); and the book is physically small, making it easy for little hands to flip through. It’s a quick read and the kids will love to see their name on every page.
Whether or not our names are truly unique, it feels great to receive something you know has been made especially with you in mind. While not everyone can knit a sweater with your name on it (which would probably not be on anyone’s Christmas list anyway), a personalized Christmas book is something kids will like to read over and over and love seeing and hearing their name – over and over. Sleep tight and your welcome!
