Christmas Gift Idea for the Ladies
I have been using razors for nearly 20 years already – that would have made me 11 when I first started the weekly event of shaving my legs. Every week, it’s mandatory to jump in the tub and start the unending process. Included with the weekly ritual are nicks and small cuts, you’d think after 20 years of practice I would have shaving my legs down pat, but no, I continue to end up with small pieces of Kleenex along my knees and alkalies tendons. When I had the opportunity to test out an electric razor by Philips, I was hopeful that it would be the end of my nicked knees!
The Lady Shaver I received has the following features:
- Aloe Vera Strip
- 40 minute battery life
- Double foil Shaving head
- Pivoting head
- Wet or Dry use
- Floating Heads
What I enjoy about this electric razor is that I can use it without having to jump in the shower or tub, it’s always ready to go. If we are going to the pool on short notice, I don’t have to keep everyone waiting while I go take a shower. I can take 10 – 15 minutes to shave my legs before hand and get excellent results. It may not be as close as a razor, however my legs are left feeling nearly just as soft as when I shave with a blade. The good news is, I am not left with any cuts. The pivoting and floating head also makes the hardest part to shave (the knee) much easier than with a straight blade. Have you ever been in public only to discover you have missed a huge spot of hair? Devastating, and embarrassing isn’t it? With the Philips Lady Shaver, I haven’t had that experience yet – making me think it’s probably because the heads tilt and conform to our natural body shape.
The shaver is nice and sleek and very easy to use with a single purple button to turn it on and off. It’s not complicated, it does it’s job well and it’s cute too! The buzzing is a little bit loud, but nothing that you don’t quickly become accustomed to – it is louder than the traditional razor blade (go figure).
In the winter, I rarely shave my legs. I find it too much of a pain, however I have found since I now have an electric razor, I don’t mind sitting down for a few minutes and using it to get nice soft legs. And this may be TMI, but at least one person in the house seems to enjoy my soft legs too!
