Christmas Gift Idea for families
If there is one thing I guarantee at Christmastime – it’s food, and lots of it. Although I am not much of a cook myself, I do like to indulge in some fancy feasting. If you too like to enjoy tasty meals, but may be lacking ideas, talent or simply the time (like most of us), then let someone else do the cooking for you!
M&M Meat Shops has a wide variety of premade meals, appetizers and even deserts. My family and I had the opportunity to try out these meals just in time for the holidays. To pick our selection of goodies, we decided to take a peek at the flyer to see what was on special and our first choice for a meal was the Chicken n’ Dumplings. It is available in 2 sizes, 2 pound or 4. Seeing as people can easily stop in unannounced, I went for the 4 pound option – a quick and easy meal ready to go in just over an hour straight from frozen. I figure you can’t go wrong with the creamy chicken, dumplings and veggies too.
As for a appetizer, my husband enjoys spicy, so we decided we’d try the Stuffed Jalapeño Pepper. These are filled with a spicy pepper and creamy cheese. I have to admit I was expecting something a little bit more of a kick to it and they would be good with a dip like sour cream or helluva good dip. But for a fast app to whip up with company shows up at your door, these stuffed peppers only take 12 minutes to bake in the oven – quick, easy and yummy too.
What impressed me most during our trip at M&M Meat Shops was the costumer service. The young man at the counter was extremely helpful, very patient and knowledgeable about all the products at M&M Meat Shops. I also forgot my gloves in the store, it took a few hours before I realized my finger tips were turning to ice cubes. To my surprise, when I called the store my mitts were still there and I was able to pick them up. These were my favourite mitts (they are very nice too). There is a lot to be said about a company that offers excellent customer service, great food and are trust worthy. This company has made a believer out of me.
My only recommendation is to make sure you have lots of room in your freezer before heading to the store, because you will easily come home with more than your freezer can handle.
