Having a little girl is wonderful for so many reasons, the clothing, hair and the fact that I too was once a young girl myself. Many of the toys my daughter has, brings back a lot of memories for me. The latest is Strawberry Shortcake.
I had (and still have at my Mom’s house) a Strawberry Shortcake doll as a young girl. I probably got this mini doll when I was 6 years old (just a guess). My next door neighbour (and best Friend) had Blueberry Muffin, we played with them so much! What I loved best about Strawberry Shortcake and friends is their delicious scents. Even today, 25 years later, my Strawberry Shortcake still has that memorable strawberry scent.
When I opened up the Strawberry Berry Sparkling Charm Doll package, it brought back all those great memories and fun times I had with one of my favourite toys. The smell was exactly the same – yummy. All these many years later, I don’t think I can ever forget that fresh strawberry aroma.
The Berry Sparkling Charm Doll comes with 2 dresses, one is a hard plastic that Strawberry shortcake slides right into (without her shoes on), while the other is cloth and sticks on with velcro. Your kids are more likely to play with the plastic dress as it has little gems that light up and stick into little holes in the dress. You can change a few of them around and there are even some charms that fit into Strawberry Shortcakes headband. The packaging says 3 different outfits, but one of those must include Strawberry when she is without any “dresses on”. There are a number of small parts, so it’s best fitted for children that no longer put small pieces into their mouths.
The little girls are going to love Berry Sprinkling Charm Doll – simple (well, other than the flashing lights and charms) yet effective. DD is now doing a lot of imaginary play – making her dolls talk while she brings them shopping, to the beach or out for a walk. I’m sure I did the same with my Strawberry Shortcake doll 25 years ago.
