Name Your Tune – CD 1 & 2 – Closed

With a name like DD, I always have to go to specialty online stores to get anything personalized for my little princess.  Clothing, blankets and books are just a few of the things we have been fortunate enough to get for our daughter with a unique name.  Although I (and other literate people) appreciate seeing “DD’s” name on all her personal items, she actually has no clue all these items are made especially for her, at 3, she has yet to read.

Name Your Tune is a Canadian company that incorporates your child’s name into popular kids songs, so when they listen to the CD’s, they will know that this CD has been made especially for them.

We received Name Your Tune 1 & 2 for review.  DD requests her special CD’s all the time, she can listen to each and every song over and over and over again (and over again).  All the songs have her name in them – more than once, such as “If you’re DD, clap your hands” and “Little DD had a Farm, E I E I O”.  Her eyes light up as she hears her name sung in all her favourite songs.

What impresses me the most about the Name Your Tune CD’s, is how flawless the songs are with DD’s name incorporated into them.  Each singer (male and female voices) have sang over 4000 kids names to get the recording perfect for each child.  I wasn’t expecting it to be so smooth, perhaps I thought her name would just be replaced by Mathew, or Sarah and made to squeeze in, but the artists are in the studio a few times a year to add to the name list.  So each child does get a CD that has been sang just for them (well, and anyone else with their name).

There are two Name Your Tune CD’s now available.  We keep one CD in her bedroom and the other in the living room (because she loves listening to this special music all about her).  I also think these CD’s would be great for car rides and long trips.  There is something about a CD with her name on it that keeps her focused (and in a good mood).

The physical Name Your Tune CD’s are also personalized for your children.  Although the outside case is generic, the CD’s themselves have DD’s name written right on it.  And each CD is created in the same fashion for all children.  No matter your child’s name or spelling your child will get a special CD made just for them.

DD really enjoys her special CD’s,  it seems to boost her confidence and it brings a smile to her face each time she hears her name.  We also enjoy watching her celebrate and sing along with her name.
