Since I’ve been about 25 my teeth have been pretty sensitive. Both my husband and I have since been using toothpaste for sensitive teeth. There is something about using this type of toothpaste that makes me feel a bit old, but if it means that I can have ice cream and tea then it’s worth it.
For over a month, both my husband and I have been testing out Sensodyne. This is actually one of the first times that we have used this toothpaste. However, we are very familiar with it. You see, my grandmother uses Sensodyne, and she is over 80. So, I suppose using the same toothpaste as my granny kinda makes us feel old. However, there is something about my grandmother that I have to tell you – she is by far the smartest women I know. We lovingly refer to my grandmother as “Yoda”.
Back to the Sensodyne review – our teeth have been fantastic, I can literally have tea followed by cold ice and not have any pain at all. Despite using sensitive toothpaste for years, I would still get small shocks of pain here and there and I was always aware that I had sensitive teeth and was careful about what things I ate and drank.
I knew to get the full effect of the Sensodyne toothpaste, I had to use it for at least 3 weeks. As I type this review, I am drinking a cold glass of water straight from the fridge and do not have the slightest bit of sensitivity or pain in my teeth – which really is amazing. Because before using Sensodyne, I was always aware of my teeth. So, I can say without a doubt that Sensodyne is the best toothpaste that I have used for sensitive teeth to date.
Seeing as this is the kind of toothpaste my grandmother uses, I should have known that it was the most effective. And seeing as she is very wise, I should have looked past the age thing and known that she knows the best products.
Sensodyne, also has some new products. The Sensodyne iso-active is the first and only toothpaste with iso-active foaming technology. The toothpaste is in a pump style container and it literally foams while using it. It takes a bit of getting used to as both the packing and the toothpaste itself is different than any toothpaste I have been using for the last 30 years. I also found that it has a very medical smell to it, which makes it seem like something I’d get straight from my dentists office – which probably means that it’s really good for my teeth.
At Shoppers Drug Mart – from June 18 to June 24th, consumers can get 10X the Optimum points when they spend $10 on Sensodyne products.
