Little Partners – Learning Tower ($199) – Closed

Being just over 5 feet tall can bring many challenges, not only to me, but to my husband as well.  I am always asking him to grab things from top shelves.  I look absolutely pathetic while trying to jump up high enough to get cereal from the top cupboard.  I know what it’s like to be short, and can only imagine what it feels like to be only 3 feet tall.

Kids love to know what their parents are doing, cooking, cleaning or just reading the newspaper, if we are doing anything exciting on the counter top, DD HAS to be there.  She used to take a small step stool and bring it around the kitchen to wherever we were working.  Unfortunately, we did have to cut it out because she was either not balanced or not paying attention and would walk off the end.  However there is a safe and fun solution that has proven to be an excellent way for DD to be involved in kitchen duties.

The Learning Tower from Little Partners has been a life saver!  This is a secure and safe tower that allows DD to stand up tall and participate in cooking, crafting and everything else that goes on in the kitchen (I’m from the Maritimes, so EVERYTHING happens in the kitchen).  My husband was able to set this up in no time, he is a seasoned pro at assembling furniture, but this piece seemed to go together extra quickly – even with a bit of unsolicited help.

The Learning Tower is a little bit big and our kitchen.  We do have a large island in the middle of the kitchen which leaves very little room for the Learning Tower, so we keep the tower at the same place at all times, right along the Island.  The good part is, we do mostly everything in the kitchen on the island so DD is right there to see what is going on at all times (here we are making Easter eggs).  If you have a larger kitchen, it would be easy to put some felt on the bottom of the feet of the tower and it could be pushed around to all of the counters in the kitchen.

DD loves the Learning Tower, she is always standing up on the easily adjustable shelf.  As she gets taller, the shelf can be lowered.  Although the tower is open on all sides, there are protective rails that keep kids inside at all times.   We’ve been using the Learning Tower for over a month, every single day and we haven’t had a single accident (other than a few adult stubbed toes on the bottom of the tower).

Although it is suggested the the tower can be used as a puppet theater, we have only used it in the kitchen, but we do use it everyday, nearly all day.  DD quickly props herself up on the Learning Tower using the two little “steps” to help with baking, eating and everything else throughout the day.  It’s safe and it keeps her OFF the island.  It’s been a very welcome addition to our kitchen, I am even tempted to use it from time to time so I can reach above the fridge.

This product comes with a very high recommendation for anyone who has children who like to spend time in the kitchen and can’t quite reach the counter top (I would think this probably covers nearly every child).

  3. I love that the toy tower can be purchased to go along with the learning tower so the kids can use it for their dolls, etc.

  4. I love this item – so much safer than the chair we are using right now. I also love that it comes in so many colors. The red would match my kitchen but the green would make my little guy so happy. It’s such a great idea to have the Learnign Tower do double duty as a puppet theatre!

  5. I learned that it is distributed around the world and enjoyed by toddlers every where with safety

  14. Thanks for sharing your story. My husband and I are saving up to get our 14 month old a Learing Tower! We are certain she will blossom in the kitchen, among its many other uses!! Thanks for the offer.

  15. I almost fell off of my bed when I opened this site. Lol. It’s based in Shreveport, LA which is an hour and a half away from me. Things are never around here. Haha. Wow. Very cool.

  24. I saw that when a child doesn’t need the Learning Tower as a safe step stool (around 5 or 6 years of age), it could still be used as a puppet theater, playhouse or fort for indoor climbing (there is no limit to how a child and his imagination will play with The Learning Tower).

  25. Visit Little Partners and make a comment below about something that you saw on their website
found out that the product was developed for daughter Hannah. I love that!

  26. I learned that 2 children can safely stand on the learning tower at the same time. I love the quality of construction of these!

  27. I also saw the playhouse kit that goes along with the tower. Really cute!

  28. I saw on their site that two children can safely stand in the Learning Tower at one time…which is great since my kids would fight over it!

  29. I love that you can transform the Learning Tower into a puppet theater, doll house, drive-thru, or lemonade stand.

  30. I’ve been wanting one of these! I have so many little kitchen helpers. I also like the Playhouse Kit.
