Jillian Michaels: 6 Week Six-Pack & Shred-it with Weights – CLOSED

With new years long gone and resolutions out the door for many, Jillian Michaels has come to the rescue.  Jillian has helped hundreds of people shed weight on the every popular show The Biggest Loser and now you can have her as your personal trainer in your own home.

Here’s a synopsis:

TV’s toughest trainer is back with an ab-shredding system that will chisel midsections across the country. The #1 fitness DVD brand two years running (2009 and 2010), Jillian Michaels, wellness expert and New York Times best-selling author, now targets the tummy with a great  new workout – Jillian Michaels: 6 Week Six-Pack!

With 6 Week Six-Pack, fans of Jillian and “The Biggest Loser” can focus their workout on that hard-to-maintain midsection and get shredded, flat abs in only six weeks. Starring Jillian’s winning combination of core-focused cardio circuits and ab-toning exercises, the all-new at home workout offers two levels of intensity to maximize results. Level 1 offers a dynamic 30- minute belly-busting routine with two complete circuits of cardio as well as on-the-floor moves to target ab muscles from every angle. After three weeks, advance to Level 2 as Jillian kicks it into high gear with another 30-minute workout of more intense core moves to rev up fat burn and sculpt lean muscle. Available on DVD and Digital Download on November 30th, Jillian Michaels: 6 Week Six-Pack is set to coincide with the finale of the tenth season of “The Biggest
Loser” on NBC.

For review, I received Jillian Michaels: 6 Week Six-Pack.  It have been over a year since I last worked out so you can imagine that I am somewhat out of shape.   This DVD combines circuit training, cardio, and a bit of weights (if you want to).  Jillian has 2 friends with hard abs helping her out, one is doing the beginner version, the other is doing the advanced moves.  The video includes a warm up at the beginning and a cool down at the end.

Each move is very achievable (there are no “peacock” moves like in Yoga), but there are plenty of challenging moves that get your heart rate going and work your core.  I started off really easy just doing one circuit.  As time goes on I will move onto level 2, which is more intense and also includes weights and it way more intense.

There is no doubt that if you stick with this for 6 weeks that you will have a beach worthy abs.  I am going to keep at this, but take it a little bit slower.  Maybe only doing 1 circuit a day then bring myself up to doing both and moving onto level 2.  If something is way too hard, it’s easy to give up before even starting.  So, I figure if I take ‘er easy and slowly work myself  up to the harder training, I won’t even realize that it’s getting harder (am I the only one kidding myself?)

Jillian is truly an inspiration, she struggled with her weight at once in her life and look at her now – completely changed.  I’m hoping the same could happen to me – someday.

  1. It’s going slowly. I wanted to lose 18 pounds or 10%. I have lost 3 so far. Slow and steady wins the race.

    lkish77123 at gmail dot com

  2. I did not have a new year’s resolution this year. I am all around being more healthy by eating more fruits and vegetables, and drinking more water.

    Great giveaway!
    Kristen

  3. My goal was to jump start my exercise program at the beginning of the year but due to medical issues, its gotten delayed and its getting hard to get motivated again. I need some help!

  4. My New Years resolution was not to gain weight this year, that is not going well at all! HELP:)

  5. My New Year’s resolution was to lose weight and I started out by losing 10 lbs but then I gained that back. I am now back on track, I joined a gym and have been working out faithfully and watching what I eat. It is going slowly, but at least it’s going! Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway, my hubby would be thrilled as he has been working out to Biggest Loser DVD’s!

  6. Mine was to lose 100 pounds this year. I got a headstart (I decided not to wait until NY and started around Halloween) and I’ve already lost over 30 (although I think I gained a couple in the last month, I get weighed tomorrow *sigh*)

  7. My NY resolution is going strong. My workouts hv been going great. Actually I hv kept this up since last New Year’s. This DVD would be well put to use by me! Thanks

  8. It’s not necessarily a New Year’s resolution but my life resolution is to be Fit by 40. I joined weightwatchers online a month or so ago and have lost 15 lbs. so far. I’ve also been working out at least 3 times a week which is a big improvement.

  9. My goal was to be fiscally responsible. I have had a few slipups but for the mostpart I have stayed the course.
My abs could stand lots of toning. Thanks for the giveaeay.
    Love & Hugs,
    Pam

  10. I have stuck with my workouts. As for learning to draw I’ve only come up with one good picture.

  11. Hi!
I did not mak a New Year’s resolution this year because I tend to not eep them. I really could use this. I could use the motivation of Jillian to get my butt in gear to get healthy for me, not for anyone else.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to win in this giveaway!

  16. My New Year’s Resolution is to eat the right amount from the four food groups every day.

So far, I am succeeding for the most part and I already feel healthier.

I have cancer of the lymph nodes and usually do not have much of an appetite, but I have found that eating smaller, more frequent meals works better for me.

  17. I made no Resolution this year, although I am doing “just” Ok on losing 25 pounds. Exercise is what I need to do.
    gourdsrmylife(at)yahoo(dot)com

  18. I made resolutions! To re-organize my home, to lose the baby weight (I had a baby in September) and to get better at sending out Birthday cards to friends and family. So far I’ve re-organized my kitchen, basement, livingroom, and bedroom, and I have cards made up for family memebers into the month of April! BUT I still need to lose more wieght! I’ve only lost 5lbs!

  19. I didn’t make any resolutions, but i am trying to get more organized in my house and get to the gym regularly ! I’m doing ok.

  20. I did resolve to get into shape, and I am getting there. I hope to hit -10 lbs this week, and today I did fit into my old, smaller, jeans. So I’m quite thrilled about that.

  21. I didn’t make any resolutions this year. I figured I wouldn’t start the year off with failure. I decided to just the best I can at everything. And if it happens, then it will happen! Thanks for the giveaway! I’ve been wanting to buy this!
    jenniferweldon77 at gmail dot com

  22. Yes, I did! I wanted to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle. I have cut out soda and have lost 10lbs so far. Just a start, but I hope it continues!

  23. I honestly don’t really believe in New Year’s Resolutions; I think too many people think that they need to start Jan. 1st and never falter, and if they do, they feel like failures. Instead, I like to make a list of the goals I want to accomplish that year, and then I work at them on my own time and at my own pace. Last year, for example, I wanted to become a published author and buy my first house. In December, I was able to look back and smile because I had accomplished both of those goals. This year, I want to attend a blogging conference and finish the currently half-finished addition on our house. (At least to the point where it’s habitable!) By setting some important goals and then just working towards them throughout the year, I never have to have that moment of feeling like a failure because I backtracked, faltered or slowed down. After all, I have a whole year to get it done! 🙂

  24. I never make one! There’s no point in making a resolution that you’re probably not going to withhold. So you may as well not make one at all and save yourself from the let down.
I have the 30day shred and LOVE it. I would love to try these as well to mix things up a bit.

  25. I didn’t really make a resolution, but I have been dedicated to making our household greener this year and it’s coming along great! No more harsh chemical cleaners!

  26. My New Years resolution was to try and watch my sugar intake. It comes and goes, some days I have no issues, and others not so good, but I keep trying!!

  27. my New Year’s resolution was to snack healthier but as I’m entering this contest I’m eating oatmeal chocolate chip cookies….so clearly it’s not going so well!

  28. New Years resolution was to lose weight.. so far I’ve lost maybe 5Ilbs. Still working on it!

  29. I didnt really make a new years resolution…but I’ve lost almost 15lbs doing her 30 day shred so far!! I love Jillian Michaels and would LOVE to win these videos!

  30. I didn’t make a resolutiuon since I always break them. But I do want to lose weight and need all the help I can get.

  31. Hi Lynette. My resolution for this year was balance. And though I haven’t made eye-poping progress, I do think I’m on the right track. I do want to lose about 20 and lots of inches, and most importantly tighten everything up. I’d love to win this!

    Hugs…Tracy 🙂

  32. My new years resolution had nothing to do with weight or working out, it had to do with organizing my house and life better. well, and maybe a bit about getting off the computer and couch more.
got to the point of sorting a lot of things, but not much out the door yet. so guess not so good here on my resolution..Yet!

  33. So far, my resolution to remain more optimistic has had its ups and downs. It’s been a trying year already with work and grad school, but it is only March!

  34. I didn’t have a new years resolution but I need to lose some weight!

    kport207 at gmail dot com

  35. My resolution was to be active and I’m working on it, but I’m not doing as well as I had hoped.

  36. My new years resolution was to take a picture everyday and I have just been doing okay at that.

  37. I’m doing horrible at my new years resolutions. We just got off a cruise and I definitely gained weight instead of losing it.

  38. Actually, I’m doing well with mine! Committed to working out 4 or 5 times per week as opposed to just 3, and have been seeing results. On the days I don’t go to the gym, these are two of my favorite workouts that On Demand has for free…but I’d love to own them, especially because On Demand only has level one.

    wolverina401 at gmail dot com

  39. I would love to win this! My resolution was to get in better shape, and I am sticking with it!

    Thanks!

  40. My New Year’s resolution to get in better shape has been going pretty good with a few ups and downs.

  41. My resolution is more of a postpartum resolution….but my baby is 18 months old now and I need to lose my poochy stomach, no more excuses.

  42. My New Year’s resolution was to eat healthier (and a bit less). I have good days and not so good days, but I think, overall, I’m doing better than I was! And, I’ve started doing a lot more exercising and yard work = good too@

  43. i really did not have a new years resolution but about 3 weeks ago i made the decision to loose weight and i am proud to say that i have lost 8 pounds. now i need to exercise!

  44. My goal is to always lose weight – I need to get started tho.
    I love Jillian’s 30 Day Shred!

  45. My resolution is coming along slowly … a few pounds off but that exercise part is not quite clicking

  46. I sorta did. My resolution was to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight by the summer. So far I haven’t made any progress, but not from lack of trying! This would really help me *hopefully* reach my goal!

    demureprincess7(at)gmail(dot)com

  47. i started strong with my resolution but ive been slacking this last month… (it was to try something new every week).

  48. Didn’t really make any serious New Year’s resolutions…so I can’t really say that I’ve been keeping any either!! 🙂

  49. I was feeling ambitious and had a few new years resolutions.. all of which I am slacking on.
Hopefully I can win this and work on at least one of them!

  50. My New Year resolutions are not going to the directions it should, always pre-occupied with other things 🙁

  51. Instead of doing year-long resolutions, I’m trying to implement something new each month. This month, I’m committing to walking for at least 1 hour every day, no matter where I am or what’s going on. So far (on day 4) I’ve been on target!

  52. My resolution is to lose the last five pounds of baby weight – so far I’ve lost one!

  53. My new year’s resolution was to learn to love Kale. It’s a super food after all. So far…I can tolerate it in smoothies, but haven’t been able to love it in an actual “eating” kind of way. Wish me luck!

  54. New Years resolution was to eat healthier which so far is working out but need to exercise more,

  55. My resolution was to cut down on my intake of soda. Although I could do better, my intake has went down quite a bit. Thanks.
    partymix25(at)hotmail(dot)com

  56. I didn’t officially have a New Year’s resolution because I never kept them before. But I still can’t help trying to be more healthy when the new year rolls around and maybe not making one has worked out better for me because I’m doing better at it than in years gone by. I think this DVD would SO help me get on the right track and stay there!

  57. My resolution was to get active. Some weeks are definitely better than others, especially now that I’m back at work. Would love to give this DVD a try at home. Thanks!

  58. Didn’t bother to make a resolution because I always break them. But, I’d love to win this to try to get myself back in shape.

  59. My New Year Resolution was to lose the baby weight from my 3rd. I have kept up with it and only have 5 pounds to go.

  60. I didn’t even have one. I always say to stop biting my nails…but usually that doesn’t last long at all.

  62. I started my resolution about a month ago, so far I’ve lost about 7-8 pounds. Mostly what I’m doing different is not eating after dinner (or only a small snack). I’d like to start some exercising too!
    thanks for the chance

  66. My new year’s resolution was to get in shape, haven’t quite been working on it. If I win, maybe it’ll get me motivated!

  67. I don’t usually make resolutions, just goals I suppose. My goal this year (fitness-wise) is to run a marathon. I’m training for it and it’s going really well so far! I just need to stay injury-free. 😉

  68. My new years resolution for 2011 was to be more consistent with my workouts….luckily I have managed to stick to about 5 workouts a week…sometimes less, depending on my 6mth old son! Thanks!

  69. Down 10 lbs so far. Doesn’t sound so great but considering we just got back from a cruise and I came back with only a 4lbs gain, I’m pretty happy!

  70. I have been doing fairly good with my New Years resolution. I have dropped some pounds, but still more to go.

  71. mine was to have abs by summer.. its not coming along too great, maybe jillian could help whip me into shape

  72. I didn’t have a New Year’s Resolution but I am looking at making a March or April Resolution to be consistent with exercise 3-4 times per week. Thanks.

  73. My New Year’s resolution was to shed some pounds. After a few setbacks I’ve lost 15 lbs.
henglish at nb dot sympatico dot ca

  74. I just wanted to be healthier as my resolution. I’ve been drinking more water but have lacked motivation for more exercise. This would help bring variety into my routine.

  75. for my new years resolution i realized that i have a lot of things to improve on. I want to be forward looking leaving behind the past but not forgetting it rather learning from it. One of the things that I want to improve on is my health. Alhough I have no vices ever since I am now in the process of being in the healthy weight. I have more focus and drive to reach my goal.

  76. My resolution was to lose weight and I finally got started a week ago.

  78. So far I have done well with my new years resolution of losing weight and am down eighteen pounds.
This set would be great to have to add some new variety to my workouts.
