GNOMEO & JULIET in Theaters February 11 – Prize Pack (2 Winners) – CLOSED

Gnomeo & Juliet is coming to theaters in 3D on February 11th.

Here’s a Synopsis:
The greatest love story ever told, starring…garden gnomes? In the upcoming “Gnomeo & Juliet,” Shakespeare’s revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. Directed by Kelly Asbury (“Shrek 2”) and showcasing both classic and original songs by Elton John, the film features the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, who have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors. But with plastic pink flamingos and thrilling lawnmower races in the mix, can this young couple find lasting happiness?

This movie is based on the classic Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet.  My family and I are eagearly anticipating seeing this in theater.  After the success we had with DD with Tangled, I think we are now ready to watch movies outside of our basement (hurray)!

  1. I am one of the few people who can say that they never studied Romeo and Juliet in school – either high school or university. What I have learned is from the other high school teachers.

  2. Yes I do remember learning about Romeo and Juliet in high school. It was before the Leonardo DiCaprio movie though.

  3. I did learn romeo and juliet in high school
the story was really good, but I was not as lucky as you to have the movie showed in class

  4. I remember watching the movie and having to follow along with the book as we got through eat chapter in high school. It was such a great and sad love story!

  5. I read Romeo and Juliet in High School. We had an amazing teacher, Mr. Trafford, who made the book really fun. We each had a role to play and acted out the play as we went along. I played Juliet, so it was really cool, but a lot of lines!

    Thanks for offering this giveaway.

  6. I learned about Romeo and Juliet a few times in school, I really enjoyed Shakespere – not the movies as much thought the Leo movie was great as it was very much made for kids of “my” era to watch and understand – and that it was in the real language was brilliant.

  7. I learned about Romeo and Juliet in high school English and then again in university. I’ve probably studied it at least three times. But I think the more you study Shakespeare, the better it gets.

  8. We didn’t actually! Grade 10 was Julius Ceasar, Grade 11 was MacBeth and Grade 12 was Hamlet. And we watched the version starring Mel Gibson! <3 Romeo and Juliet I had to read on my own…

  9. I did read romeo and Juliet in school but don’t ask me to remember to the date! Early 90’s though maybe ’92 or ’93.

  10. We actually never read the play in school, surprisingly. I somehow got all the non-Shakespeare loving English teachers. I did watch the movie with Leonardo though.

  11. To be honest, I’m not even sure but I’m guessing yes, I learned of it in school. Thanks, Maureen (jnomaxx at hotmail dot com)

  12. Hi!
I wasn’t in Drama class long enough to get to Romeo and Juliet in school. I was in a school play though 🙂

  23. I also learned about them from the DiCaprio movie 🙂 We did learn about them in school also. We watched a play-type movie. DiCaprio one was better 😉

  24. I watched and learned about it in my high school english class and college literature class, my teacher made us watched the old version though, new or old I still love it and can’t wait to watch GNOMEO & JULIET in theatres! =)

  25. Yes heard about Romeo and Juliet in High school 1970, never did get to see the movie though. Thanks for the giveaway
