Village Candle – 3 Piece Decor Pillar Set ($75) – CLOSED

I love candles, they really bring some warmth to any home.  I have had the opportunity to feature Village Candle in the past, and this time they have sent more than just a “candle”, it’s a 3 piece Decor Pillar set with a Holiday (cinnamon) scent and in 3 different sized glass pillars.

The candle set arrived just before Christmas, they are packaged up nicely with a bright red and silver “cardboard type” cylinder (but way nicer than cardboard).  They arrived in perfect shape, and once I opened them, I was in awe.  They are absolutely gorgeous!  Each of the glass pillars are silver plated around the top rim and look so sleek and sophisticated.  My only wish is that I had a beautiful mantle to set these on.  I unfortunately, do not have a fire place (how did Santa find us?!?), so, I don’t have the perfect Christmas mantle to put these on.  Instead, I have put them on my kitchen window in front of the sink.   We spend a lot of time in the kitchen (we’re Maritimer’s, this is where the party’s are always at), so I figured this is where the beautiful candles would get viewed the most and the most appreciation.

We recently put all our Christmas decorations away (it’s hard to believe that Christmas is already over), but we decided to keep the Village Candles out.  Now that our decorations are gone, I found a better home for the candles (on top of my desk, yes there was Christmas decoration in top of my desk).  They look fabulous there, but I am sure they would look even nicer on a mantle.  I even left the red boxes on the kitchen window sill – they are just so stunning.

The Happy Holiday’s fragrance is actually cinnamon and they are relatively strong, but not overwhelming.  There is just no doubt that it’s cinnamon flavour.  There may be questions as to what is being baked in the oven when company comes over.  So make sure that you like cinnamon if you choose this fragrance.  If you are not into fragrances, you can also choose the scentless pillar candle set.  It looks just the same as the set that I received except is scentless.

I really love the look of these candles, they certainly look wonderful in their trio.  I am excited to move and get a fireplace just to put this set on the mantle and I will be keeping them out year ’round then too!
