Minnie’s Masquerade on DVD February 8 & Mickey Mote

Mickey Mouse Club House’s latest DVD, Minnie’s Masquerade, comes to stores on February 8th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Here’s a synopsis:

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Masquerade starring Disney’s Fab Five — Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Daisy – takes viewers on an all new adventure as they dress-up in their favorite costumes for Minnie’s Masquerade Ball. In this episode, Minnie needs some help getting everything ready for her party including making royal crowns for their costumes, searching for Sir Goofalot’s lost shoe, stringing up paper lanterns and much, much more. At the ball, Professor Von Drake hosts the great Clubhouse Costume Show and gives out prize ribbons to all the friends who have dressed up in some funny and fancy costumes. All it takes is a heaping helping of imagination…and the right Mouseketools.

Minnie’s Masquerade also comes equip with the new Mickey Mote to make the movie even more interactive. Although I love the Mickey Mote concept, I think it’s a little too advanced for DD right now. The Mickey Mote is simply an option and if it’s not chosen the movie plays completely normal. It’s great to have the interactive play for the future, but for now, we don’t use it.

DD does however enjoy watching Mickey Mouse Club House Minnie’s Masquerade. She actually enjoys dressing up in her ball gowns to get ready for the party. She changed her wardrobe so many times during the episode, there was very little chance to watch the entire movie.

I was pleased to see that she understood the concept of the “ball” and wanted to dress up, and she enjoyed herself wearing all her Disney Princess party dresses.

Although the Mickey Mote is too advanced, she certainly understands the concept of Toodles and can pick the correct item needed to accomplish the task at hand. Soon, it’s not going to be challenging enough so the Mickey Mote will be an added bonus as the game and challenges can grow with her.
