Diane Lai – Rejuvenate & Sooth Creams ($79) – CLOSED

by Mommy on January 14, 2011

My husband affectionately calls my legs “alligator skin legs”.  Sounds romantic doesn’t it?  During the winter months my legs are so dry that they look like scales.  I try my best to keep them hydrated and creamed, but as a busy working Mom it seems that I am the last person on the list to worry about, so my legs continue to resemble those of a reptile.

I have recently had the opportunity to test out a wonderfully smelling cream by Diane Lai, this is specific for people with sensitive skin and is safe for toddlers, but I thought my legs would be a good place to test out this all natural cream made with organic shea butter which contains kernal oil rich in vitamins A, B, D, E, proteins and lecithin and grape seed oil.

The cream has a wonderful lavender scent which is very relaxing and perfect before bedtime, especially for the little ones.  I really enjoy the scent, but if you are scent free then this is not the cream for you, because it’s not scent free.  It’s not a harsh scent and is not chemically, it is just a light lavender.

The cream itself works wonderful, I don’t find it greasy or oily.  I actually find that it takes quite a bit of rubbing to absorb into my scales – I mean legs.  I really find that the cream keeps my legs feeling soft and smooth and is especially nice after shaving.  I have been taking my daughter to swim class once a week since September so I try to put the cream on at least before I go out in public and in the pool (I don’t want to scare all the kids, thinking that they are swimming with a kimono dragon).

I don’t use this cream as often as I should, but when I do remember to put it on my legs I am pleased with how nice they feel and how soothing they smell.  I’m sure if I was more dedicated I could get my legs looking more normal rather than something that crawled out of the bayou, however it seems that I have taken the back burner.
