Now that DD is older we no longer need a great big stroller for trails or sleeping in, an umbrella stroller is just fine. Last year we brought a simple umbrella stroller from the store only to discover that it really was just a few hunks of metal and it broke quite quickly (makes you feel good doesn’t it?!?).  Although we didn’t need anything super heavy duty, safety is still a strong concern.  After testing out the Amazing Britax car seat last year, I was very happy to put the new Britax B-Nimble stroller to the test.

This umbrella style stroller came pretty much ready to go.  There was no major construction, and no fuss.  The only pieces that needed to be put together were things like the cup holder and a few wheels.  Although this is an “umbrella” style stroller, there is still the capability to attach an infant stroller with the adapter.  I don’t have an infant car seat right now, but I did think that this was a great feature to have.  I was pushing around a “hummer” style stroller with DD, it was quite huge and really hard to get into any small spaces (even elevators, which I don’t consider very small).   This B-Nimble is a decent size (under 15 pounds and even comes with a carrying strap), compact and easy to maneuverer.   With the small wheels, I wouldn’t suggest taking it on a run or through rough terrain, but it’s perfect for walks to the park and in the mall.  This stroller can be used straight from brith up to 55 pounds.

I’m finding as DD gets older, she doesn’t want to be in her stroller (I see some kids that are probably close to 4 that enjoy a stroller… I even know a 30 year old girl that would love to be able to relax in one of these).  However, it is nice to have readily available.  It’s easy to throw in and out of the trunk.  This stroller is light enough to take in and out of the car, and it’s small enough that it doesn’t take up the entire trunk, so there’s no fiddling to get it shoved in there just perfect.

Many umbrella style strollers do not have a storage pouch underneath – this is one major benefit to this smaller stroller, it has quite a large place under the stroller to put shopping bags and other miscellaneous accumulated items.

Although this isn’t quite as small as many other umbrella strollers, it still is way more compact than the larger strollers and has many of the same abilities as the larger strollers!  It’s kinda of a Happy Medium stroller.  I love that it has a basket in the bottom and that the adapter can be used for an infant car seat.   This would pretty much be the ultimate stroller if the wheels were just a touch bigger so it could be used on rougher terrain (there is a great trail by our place, but it is all crushed gravel).  I’m sure it could be pushed on this type of surface, but I don’t think that it would be much fun.

One last feature that I want to mention about the stroller is that it reclines, another feature that you do not often see in smaller umbrella strollers.  Unfortunately, my daughter no longer sleeps in the stroller, but I remember the days when this was the highlight of my day!  I think this is probably the most important feature in a stroller, and if a smaller stroller is able to recline into a sleep position, there is little more that is required.

Check out this B-NIMBLE video, I think that after seeing it, you will agree that it is the ultimate stroller, just in a smaller package.

  6. I would like the Combination Harness-2-Booster for our second vehicle. Right now we have to move the car seat all of the time, which is a pain.

  7. I wish we could afford Britax, the “Cadillac” of baby safety seats. I would probably get the Frontier 85 to keep my lovey safe as long as possible.

  8. I also like the Blink stroller… but I’ve been searching (and saving) for a good lightweight stroller!

  9. I like the Boulevard 70 Carseat and would like to also have that from their website. Love the cool cow print too.

  10. After visiting the Britax site, there are many things I like. Another stroller that is nice is the B-Scene stroller.

  11. I would like the Boulevard 65 Carseat from Britax so I wouldn’t have to borrow a car seat to take my grandchildren in my car.

  12. entering the giveway (added to facebook too), but i have a question as well. does britax have a step board for a 2nd child to stand behind the seating area? i’m considering the b-ready (in case we have a #2) or the b-nimble (light/easy/compact). either way, i’d like to know if britax offers a step board as an add on or will be offering one in the future. i’ll add you as a fan on facebook too.

  13. I love the Britax B-Ready stroller…Being a Foster parent you can never have too many strollers 🙂

  14. I would also LOVE the Britax B-Ready Stroller with the Second seat and the bassinet!

  20. Mandatory…

I just found out before New Years that we are going to be grandparents again, and they gave/sold ALL the baby items away when they thought were finished at two (I secretly knew better. LOL!) so am happily looking at things for this little one! I would love to gift my sons family this Chaperone carseat for the new lil one!

    thanks much!

  22. I also like the Britax carseats. I’m going to get the Frontier when my son turns 4. He’s currently in the Marathon.

  23. I would love the Frontier XT for my daughter as she is almost ready to graduate into a booster type car seat.

  24. I think it would be a great addition on the Britax website to include a complete technical specs and dimensions of their strollers. This would be great if it inlcudes illustration as well. (Similar to Uppababy site) Since my child is a bit on the tall side, I am very particular about the seat height of the stroller.

  25. My girls are in Britax Roundabouts and it would be great to have another one (the Roundabout 55) for our newest son! They will all be able to fit in the middle row of our Suburban! Wow!
