Rubbermaid – Reveal Mop – CLOSED

I don’t really enjoy cleaning much (does anyone really like cleaning – seriously?!?), and I tend to cry (or use a very loud high pitched voice) over split milk.  I do have an amazing vacuum type of floor cleaner that is great for cleaning the entire floor, but it seems like a big machine to pull out for the smaller accidents (that are sometimes on purpose – *sigh*).  Thankfully, the new Rubbermaid Reveal Mop that I received for review has made cleaning spills a breeze.

This is a very simple and easy mop to use and there is no pushing around dirty water to get the floor clean – I could never understand the concept of mops that use this tactic.  There is a little trigger sprayer that squirts out clean water and any other cleaner that you want to add right in front of the mop.  As you push your mop forward , it cleans up the mess – simple yet effective.

The Reveal Mop has a microfiber pad that is easily washed and re-used.  It sticks onto the bottom of the mop with velcro.  The kit came with 2 microfiber pads so while one is in the wash, the other pad is ready to go.  The pads can hold quite a bit of liquid.  I don’t think it could mop  up a quart of milk or anything, but smaller spills and little messes (that typically come along with children, pets and husbands) are easily cleaned up.

I also like that it’s simple to use, fill up the little refillable spray bottle with water and cleaning solution and you are ready to go.  No need to plug anything in, no cords, just squeeze the spray trigger and you are ready to go. I also like that the head of the mop moves around easy, making it simple to get into some hard to reach spaces.  My bigger cleaner can not get behind the toilet and other places, where the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop can easily get behind there and because it’s so light weight, it’s no big deal to lift it up and get into those little nook and crannies.  The mop head is rectangle so I am sure that it doesn’t fit everywhere, but the head of the mop rotates so much that it does get into most places.  That being said, my home doesn’t have any odd shaped corners (they are all pretty much right angles).

Overall, this is a quick and simple way to clean up after dinner or after an accident.  I also really like it for cleaning the bathroom floors.  (Please don’t get that confused with LIKING to clean the bathroom floors).
