Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue – DVD + more (2 Winners) – CLOSED

As you know, I recently had the opportunity to watch Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue at Disney in Burbank, California.  You can read about my magical adventure here and here. To say I loved this movie would be an understatement.   It comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 21st.

Here is a Synopsis:

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue begins in summertime in the beautiful English countryside. An enchanting encounter unfolds when Tinker Bell is discovered by Lizzy, and as their different worlds unite, Tink develops a special bond with the curious girl in need of a friend.

As her fellow fairies launch a daring rescue, Tinker Bell takes a huge risk, putting her own safety and the future of the fairies in jeopardy. This action-packed adventure takes the fairies of Pixie Hollow on a daring flight to London to save Tinker Bell and all of fairy kind.

This is a movie that everyone can enjoy.  I loved it because it’s not scary at all.  There is not a “mean” character and all the fairies work together to help their friend Tink.  I am very paranoid when it comes to movies that my daughter can watch, and this is one that is on my “a-ok” list.  Lizzy does own a cat that give the fairies a bit of a hard time, but it’s so subtle, it shouldn’t upset the kids at all.  There is also one scene where the fairies almost get run over by a car, but once again, it’s not scary, it might just cause a bit of excitement.  Even though it’s ok for a 2 year old, it’s not a boring baby movie, it’s an exciting adventurous movie with a feel good ending.

Overall, I would suggest this movie to everyone and anyone – families with boys and girls (I’ve been told by many Moms with boys that they love the Tinker Bell movies).  I cried numerous times throughout the movie (and even the credits – I won’t ruin it for you, but you have to watch the credits till the very very very end).  The movie just captures the innocence of a child, and as a parent, I found it very emotional.
