One thing that is absolutely necessary at birthday parties is loot bags. I was very nervous about these – I’m not sure why, but it seems that there is a lot of thought that goes into getting the right loot into the bags. I was searching the internet high and low to see what items generally go into a loot bag and came across The Loot Lady website.
When Carol Cusson (aka The Loot Lady) agreed to send all the kids attending DD’s party loot bags, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I let Carol know the birthday theme was princesses and she did the rest. This was a huge relief – one less thing I had to worry about for the party. I have been known for being over organized, especially when it comes to parties. I went completely out of control on my wedding day, and I could see myself doing the same for birthday parties as my daughter gets older. So, having someone else taking care of the loot bags means, I didn’t have to worry about it.
I let The Loot Lady do what she does best and didn’t worry about a thing. I told her how many boys and girls I was expecting and their ages and that was it.
When the loot bags arrived at my house (over a month before the party – I told you I am over organized), I was very pleased with the packages. Each one had a book, and boy/girl appropriate treats. Along with all the packages, each one had a little Loot Lady card and a place to put each child’s name. The loot bags were also all nicely wrapped in a see through bag.
Now onto the party,,, I was very excited to hand out all these loot bags to the kids (and to the adults). I’ve been to many parties recently and the loot bags have had things such as playdoh and pencils, but these loot bags were very special and different – and I like different. The parents and kids were obviously very aware that these were special bags that were not just purchased the night before. I received a lot of oohh’s and aahhh’s over the princess book (for girls) and Backyardigans book (for boys).
Loot bags have become a bit of a phenomenon, I am so glad that I left it up to someone else to do all the hard work of getting each bag just right. I would highly suggest using The Loot Lady to do all the dirty work for you. If you have a budget, just let her know and she can whip something up for each one of your child’s guests. I am so thankful that I let someone else put the perfect loot bags together for my daughter’s party – because we all know that there are so many more things on our plates than thinking up loot bags and then buying all the items and then putting them all together.
The Loot Lady has a very easy website to navigate, you can search by age, sex, or theme or just email Carol and she’ll do everything for you.

This blog appears to get a large ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something real or substantial to say is the most important thing.
