Rileyroos – Winners Choice – CLOSED

My daughter may only be 2, but she knows a good pair of shoes when she sees them. The latests shoes that we got to try out are Rileyroos. You may think that all baby/toddler shoes are the same, but I will be the first to let you know that Rileyroos truly are different.

What makes these shoes unique are the bottom soles. Most baby shoe soles are made simply with leather or are completely made with rubber. Rileyroos takes both of these different types of soles and combines them into one. The soles are made with the softest leather making them very easy to bend, but they also have rubber on the parts of the foot that would be in contact with the ground most often. I wish these shoes came in adult sizes so I could test out what this feels like while walking, I would suspect it would be very comfortable while walking.

We received a pair of pink Mary Janes for review, they are made by hand with the softest leather and are very easy to bend – very important for growing feet. The toe is reinforced and the sole actually comes up on top of the shoe. This is one feature that I truly like about the Rileyroos. My daughter tends to drag her feet, which can leave shoes with scratches along the toes. Since these shoes have such a high buffer zone, it doesn’t look like the scuffing is on the top of the shoe (please see the attached photo). It simply looks like the sole of the shoe has been worn. Which is what kids are suppose to do with shoes, and it leave the actual shoe in excellent condition.

These shoes are great for both inside and out, and in fact because they have a slight curve to them, they almost look like they could be slippers. I’d love to wear slippers all day long. My daughter enjoys them as well.

As for sizing, Rileyroos comes in sizes 3 – 24 months. The shoes that we received are sadly the largest size, and my daughter is just growing out of them now. This is incredibly sad, because I would love to have my daughter to continue to wear the adorable Mary Janes. This is one of those companies that I wish I knew about earlier so my daughter I could have had more time to enjoy.
