Cleaning is one of those things that I absolutely love doing – errrr,,, if any of you read my blog regularly, you will know that is far from the truth. My Mom lives with us 5 days a week to take care of our daughter and does most of the cleaning in our house. In fact, once DD is in school and we no longer need child care, we will be hiring someone to clean our house. I have heard many people do this to keep their marriage together. We will be one of those couples!
I recently had the opportunity to test out some cleaning products. I am sure my Mom and husband love it when these types of products show up. Despite not being much of a cleaner myself, I am a germophobe. I do like things to be clean – although I hate to be the one to do it. I recently received Green Works products for review. These are natural products without chemical residue and are made with plant based biodegradable cleaning ingredients.
The Green Works products that I received maybe be 99% natural, but there is no compromise on quality. We have a dishwasher, so most of our products end up being cleaned by “the maid” each evening (I call the dishwasher ‘the maid’). The dishes that are too large for the dishwasher or too greasy are left in the sink to be cleaned. I used the Green Works dish washing liquid and was so impressed with the amount of bubbles it created and how easily and great it cleaned all the left over dishes. It also has the slightest smell. Nothing harsh, intrusive or chemically, it’s more of a light mango or apple smell. I wish I had a finer scene of smell to tell you the exact scent, but I will let you know that it’s delicious.
I also received the Green Works glass and surface cleaner. I tested this out on my mirrors, I figure if it’s going to streak, I’ll see it on a mirror really easy. First I noticed how a little bit of spray goes a long way. I kind of over did it with the spraying. But after lots of rubbing, the mirror was super clean and no streaks. The glass and surface has the slightest hint of lemon. Not a strong lemon, more like when you order water with a lemon slice. It’s pretty weak.
The best part about these products is that they are safe to use in my home. With a small child at home, it’s important that chemicals be eliminated and replaced with all natural products. I’m pleased with thes Green Works products as they are safe to use in my home, and they do the job.
