Trotter Sweet Peas – 5 Free tutorials (~$40) – CLOSED

In case you haven’t noticed, I LOVE girly clothing.  Whenever I find a store that has really sweet girly clothes, I do my very best to bring it to you!  One of the newest sites I have come across is called Trotter Sweet Peas - an  Etsy store created by Melinda Trotter that has both Do it Yourself (DIY) and products created by Melinda herself.

For review Melinda made DD a very special outfit.  It is a matching shirt and pants number (these are my favourite types of outfits because it means I don’t have to think about what pants to put with what shirt).  The main pattern is flamingos – I will be honest, I would have never ever thought of dressing up my daughter in flamingos – but hey, it works and it’s adorable.  That’s why I leave the creative thinking to the professionals.

The top is actually a tank top, but has some ruffled sleeves added to it, which makes it look like fluffy cap sleeves – perfect for this time of year.  The shirt also has an appliqué of the flamingos right in the middle of the ribbed tee.  The pants match the top perfectly – seeing as it’s the same material, and the ruffles along the bottom of the pants is the same polka dotted material as the sleeves on the shirt – it’s way too cute.  The pants are made of cotton and are nice and light.  So even though they are long pants, they should still be pretty cool.

The outfit is sized 2T and my daughter is yet to turn two.  Generally, 2T clothing is too small for my “little” girl, but this outfit has some growing room – which is really nice, because I want her to be able to wear this outfit for the whole summer.

This is an outfit that will get people talking – you can’t get anything like this off the shelf.  It’s creative, fun and extremely unique (just like my daughter).  I love putting her in this outfit and receiving all kinds of great compliments.
