Shooshoos – Winners Choice of shoes – CLOSED

by Mommy on July 19, 2010

I have become a little bit of a shoe fanatic, both for myself and my daughter.  I find that a nice pair of shoes can really finish off and compliment any outfit.  The latest pair of shoes that my daughter has added to her toddler shoes wardrobe are a pair of smiley Shooshoos.

White is such a bright and light summer colour, that I knew I had to get something white for my daughters feet.  With events like weddings and birthday parties, I knew that she would be wearing some pretty nice outfits and white shoes would be just the thing that she needs to finish off that perfect ensemble.   For review, we received White Smiley with Pink Flowers baby shoes in size 7.

I know I told you all that I wanted these shoes to be worn only at special occasions, but my 22 month old daughter that has a mind of her own wants to wear her new Shooshoos all the time.  You can see by the wear on the inside of the shoe that she has worn these a lot, but the outside of the shoes have stayed in excellent condition.  Some of the sole is wearing out, but with all the running around that has gone on with these shoes, they are in excellent form.

The bottom of the soles are very flexible, which is perfect for toddlers learning to walk.  The back of the ankles also has elastics which makes the shoes a little harder for children to take off themselves.  My daughter has thankfully gone through this stage and now keeps her shoes on all the time.  The velcro makes putting the shoes on really easy as well. I like that the shoes have a little bit of breathing room (the whole shoe isn’t enclosed).  It’s not quite a sandal, and not quite a sneaker.  It’s just the right mixture of sophistication and fun.

I recently put these shoes on my daughter for a family event and she was able to run and play outside with all the children with ease, but also kept her up on her fashion – all the parents noticed her “European” looking shoes.  Why European!?!  I’m not really sure.  But they definitely look adorable.  I guess it’s just because they are different from the average shoes that children here in Canada would wear.

Overall, I am pleased with the Shooshoos, they are very durable, adorable and my daughter can run and play with the rest of them – which is really most important (next to fashion of course).
