I am not fussy when it comes to my hair. Up until a few years ago, I never even blew dry my hair, I just washed and went. I made sure that I had a cut that didn’t require a lot of messing around, because quite frankly, I would rather be spending the time doing something else. A few years ago, I thought it would be fun to buy a hair straighter, waver and krimper all in one. It came with these metal interchangeable plates so I could have all these really neat different looks with my hair. Well, I used it once because it didn’t really work and it literally took hours (3hours) for my cousin to give my hair a few waves. I did not use it again, and it still remains in the bottom of my bathroom drawer with all the metal pieces in it’s original packaging. I like things to be simple and effective.
Because of my past experience with my hair straighter, I wasn’t sure what to expect then I received the Hana Elite from Misikko. This is a professional grade flat iron, so that should have been my first clue that it was going to really impress me. I want to first tell you about the super cute packing that the Hana Elite came in. It came in a tin, wrapped in ribbon with roses and lots of extras like lip shimmers! The packaging went above and beyond the regular products I receive for review – it really made a positive impression about the product before I even tried it.
I pulled out the ceramic professional flat iron, and tested it out on my hair right away. I made sure to read the directions first and saw that I should put the iron on at 370 degrees – it goes all the way up to 450 for those with really thick hair. My hair is fairly straight anyways, but somedays it gets some unexpected poof in all the wrong places. I was so surprised how quickly the Hana Elite was ready, it was less than 2 minutes. I very quickly was able to straighten out all my hair and was very surprised and pleasantly pleased as to how easy it was. But I will be honest with you, my hair isn’t really much of a test because it’s pretty straight in the first place. So, I took the flat iron on vacation with me to test on my family members.
My cousins daughter has a thick head of curly/wavy long hair – the perfect test candidate. Unbelievable, it took only 7 minutes to complete her whole head. If you look at the picture, you can see there is a lot of hair there and there is a huge difference between before and after. I was extremely impressed with the Hana Elite from Misikko. I didn’t think that anything could work that well and that quick. I didn’t even have the iron on the maximum heat.
I then did a test on another participant, and received the same results. But this time, I was a seasoned pro with the flat iron, and it only took about 5 minutes. Amazing results aren’t they?
If I had to make a bet on it, I would say that this is without a doubt the best flat iron. I use it regularly to give my hair either a completely straight look, or a little bit of curls, or just a little bit of a flip. Like I said at the beginning of this post, I don’t use anything unless it’s simple and quick, and this Hana Elite fits both these criteria, it also makes my hair silky smooth – just an added bonus.
