I don’t care of germs much – who does really? But with a little one at home, germs are inevitable. It seems that I am constantly washing my hands. When at work and or in public I always do the paper towel trick – get some paper towel ready before you wash your hands and use it to shut off the tap and open the door. One thing that I don’t like about taps and soap dispensers is that people have to turn them on BEFORE they wash their hands. This means that they are opening the tap and getting soap with dirty hands and just went to the bathroom – ewww – ok, I am going to stop before I start to really gross myself out. So, why all this talk about germs? Well, Lysol has come up with a new product to eliminate having to touch the soap dispenser which also eliminates spreading germs.
For review I received the new Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System. The package came all wrapped up in a chocolate brown wicker basket with a matching Lysol hand towel. It was very easy to get the dispenser to work (it even came with batteries – BONUS). I simply had to take a little cover off the soap part and put it into the dispenser. Just as a side note, make sure to turn your dispenser off until you find the place that you want to put it. I was holding it in my hand to bring to the bathroom, and it was dispensing fresh new soap while I did the transfer, since the soap is dispensed by motion! I placed the new soap dispenser in the bathroom on the side of the sink and it fit perfectly into the oval groove where a bar soap generally goes (imagine that, I am sure the people at Lysol did this on purpose).
I love not having to use pump soap anymore (how lazy has our society become? I don’t even pump my own soap anymore?!?) - it’s not just for the convenience, but for the fact that it is eliminating germs. I’m not really too worried about my own germs, but other people’s do give me some concern. Especially any child under the age of 11. My daughter who is 21 months also enjoys the soap magically falling into her hand. I like that she doesn’t have to touch anything to get the dime sized soap onto her hands. I can turn the tap on for her and thankfully her germs are all washed away down the drain leaving a wonderful light scent of cucumber behind – Yum. (on another note – if you haven’t tried cucumber water before, it’s a must – it’s even better than lemon water).
The Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System has been put into really good use in our home. I like that this is a simple and effective way to keep germs away from my house and especially my daughter.
