Baby Blanket Music – Baby Elton John – CLOSED

I am a huge music fan.  My dad was in a band, my brother is in a band and I play guitar, we are pretty much a musical family.  I think my daughter has a bit of music in her too, she loves anything with a beat and can be caught dancing and tapping her toes all the time – it’s really cute.  After dinner, before bedtime, we put the TV on the music channels (the one where you don’t see videos, it’s just music) and we all just dance in the living room.   It’s a wonderful family activity.

I recently  received a CD for review that my daughter absolutely loves, and that my husband and I can enjoy too.  Generally, baby music and lullabies are not overly appealing to adults.  But like everything else in this world, that is changing too.  Rater than parents having to listen to “Rock-a-bye Baby, on the Tree Top”, yes sure a classic tune, but not one that I will be rocking out to in the car on the way to work, a new brand of CD’s allows parents and babies to enjoy classic songs that both generations can appreciate.

Baby Blanket Music combines the music that you and I love to hear with the gentle sounds that babies love.  It’s a win/win for everyone.  The CD that I received from Baby Blanket Music is John Mayer Baby.  John Mayer’s music is pretty mellow and relaxing in the first place.  I will always turn up the volume when I hear “Daughters” or any other John Mayer song and sing along.  I was anxious to hear how Baby Blanket Music would compare to the original John songs, and I have to admit, they sound just the same as the regular version, but with vibraphones, strings, woodwinds, pianos, harps and soft percussion.  Although the words aren’t sung, the verses are played out with xylophones.

My daughter loves listening to her new CD, she dances away to the soft songs, and I love dancing and singing too.  Once it’s time for bed, I can once again put the Baby Blanket Music on in the background while I read stories.  The soft calming melodies are perfect for bedtime.

Other CD’s by Baby Blanket Music include Elton John, Billy Joel, and Simon and Garfunkel – all classic artists that you and your little ones will really enjoy.   I think this would make an excellent and unique gift for anyone that enjoys music.

  4. I would love the Baby Billy Joel…love him! Wonder if they can make a Baby Metallica. LOL1

  5. I’d like to hear the Simon & Garfunkel CD. My dad used to sing me S&G songs as lullabies, so those songs are tied to happy thoughts of childhood and family for me. I’d love to pass these songs on to my own children.
