Thirsties Cloth Diapers – CLOSED

by Jennifer on February 19, 2010

I try my best to cognizant of the environmental impacts on the products I purchase.  In doing so, I am slowly becoming more and more aware of not only the pre-purchase concerns, like where the product was made, what is made from and what kind of manufacturing ramifications it might have, but also about what happens after I buy the product.  I was listening to a radio program that said most of the harmful environmental impacts from clothing come after you buy it.  Apparently, the care we take in washing the clothes has a larger footprint than any of the other factors combined.

And so, I partly patted myself on the back for all of the environmentally friendly detergents I use and line drying I do and partly scolded myself for still being so dependent on my dryer.  And happy, too, that I was able to try out the Thirsties Duo Wrap and Thirsties Fab Fitted Diaper that I received for review.  The diaper itself is made of a super soft microfiber terry that is very soft on baby’s bum (and here is the best part) regardless of whether you hang it to dry or throw it in your dryer.  I have done both and could not notice a difference in the softness of the Fab Fitted Diaper.  The adjustable resin snaps allow you to use the diaper as baby grows, also protecting your pocketbook.  And yes, Thirsties has earned its name.  Paired with the Thirsties Duo Wrap (which also can be hung to dry), the diaper did not leak and my babe was happy in them.  The diaper washes easily and suffered no stains despite my daughter’s best efforts!  The diaper and cover come in a selection of bright colours and would be great for a fun mix and match.

Thirsties also offers pocket diapers, inserts, diaper storage bags and wash products to cut down on stink issues!

This post seems to recieve a large ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It gives a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to give info on is the most important factor.
