Fall in Love with MWVI do not go to the doctor very often.  I am not fond of the “one problem per visit” rule we have here and as a result, when I do go I do not get to ask about the red, itchy (and large) skin patches I have on my joints.  After all, I am not dying or really sick from the scratching or shyness of the look of my skin.  I suspect I have psoriasis; I fit the bill in a number of ways.  As a result, I put up with the itching and redness, occasionally purchasing a product that claims to help me and my “spots” (as I like to call them).

When I received the Skin MD Natural Lotion for review, I regarded it with as much enthusiasm as I have for every other moisturizer I have brought into this house to settle my spots.  With a load of skepticism on my brain and itching keeping me awake at night, I started following the directions to the letter to give the product a fair shake.  With the exception of my “test spot”, which I left untreated, to compare against the other areas I was applying the Skin MD Natural Lotion.  Week one did not produce fabulous results, but I could tell something was going on, so I continued to apply every two to four hours as directed.  By week two the spots had shrunk from swollen fist sized to normal fist sized; not bad.  Week three saw a fairly dramatic reduction in itching and size as I cut back on the applications, applying every twelve to twenty four hours as directed.  Sometime into my second month, my spots are still present but are less than one third of their original size.  And much, much less itchy.  Not true for my test spot, which I had to start treating to even up the patches… I like uniformity when it comes to my skin spots!

I like Skin MD Natural Lotion for its healing properties, but would not have used if it were not for it’s commitment to no animal testing, fragrance and colorant free, being hypoallergenic, paraben free and dermatology tested (and it is promoted as not causing pimples).  Yes, even people with itchy skin have standards, folks.  The Skin MD Natural Lotion works by creating a hydrating layer over your parched skin, sealing in the moisture.  The lotion is great for a number of skin conditions (including eczema, psoriasis or just dry skin).  For most people, their skin takes a daily beating with regular exposure to soaps and cleansers that contain fragrances, colorants, antibacterial agents and many other ingredients that strip away these protective elements of the outer layer of skin.   I really like that it contains botanicals, including arnica, aloe, chamomile and comfrey.
