As previously stated in other reviews, I was one of the last of my friends to have children. Shopping for birthday and Christmas gifts has always been bit of a challenge for me but I have always been amazed at how many really cute items there are for kids out there and one that I have long admired was Parade Organic. I’ve always thought their line of clothing was incredibly cute and when I started reading and learning  a bit more about Parade and their organic cotton I liked them even more. All of Parade’s clothing  is pesticide and chemical free 100% SKAL certified organically grown cotton. As well, Parade’s products are made in a sweatshop free environment through fair trade and is stronger and softer than processed cotton. Parade has two main collections; the Playful Collection and the Pure Collection. The line of signature “nickname” prints from the Playful Collection are immediately identifiable and I think that’s why it stuck in my head long before having kids. They include a few of the adorable names we have probably all called our children; “monkey”, “pumpkin”, “bean” and “sweet pea” just to name a few and are accompanied by some adorably matching graphics. I received for review the baseball monkey tee with matching chocolate brown pants as well as the pickle baseball tee. Arriving within days of my request, the clothing came in Parade’s signature packaging; its own little cotton bag with minimal paper packaging…no plastic used anywhere! All the packaging and hang tags use recycled and recyclable materials.

We received the items from Parade’s Playful Collection in size 12-18 months and I really love them, they are really quite cute and I love any products that have a design style that is immediately recognizable (I have a thing for monkeys). The t-shirts have two buttons on the neck seam so it allows for a wider neck. My little guy is so squirmy now, clothing changes can be challenging these days so they have to be as quick as possible. Also, the pants have an extra seam in the rear area and I am not sure if it is merely for show or if it is for design purposes; either way, there is lots of room in that area. We cloth diaper most of the time and it’s nice that there is a bit of extra room where its needed. As my son is not quite 12 months old, the sleeves are still a bit long for him but I expect they will fit for some time. The outfits are super soft and snugly and after a few washes have that well loved look. The decal on the front has not thus far gone all nubby in the wash. Often, a decal comes off or cracks after multiple washes, thus far it has not done either.

The Playful Collection has some really cute new Spring Collections coming out in the spring; a few new nicknames which one may consider a bit girly; “blossom” is quite cute with it’s fuschia colors. Great gift for those adorable girls on your gift list.

Parade’s other collection, the Pure Collection features bold and colorful baby basics including Kimono style gowns and rompers as well as some onesies, t-shirts and super cute matching stripey pants.

Parade Organics are sold at many fine retailers around the world, to find a location near you go to the Parade Website.
