The Tiny Tongs I received for review are designed with enough tension to hold food but loose enough that a small child can manipulate the handles by squeezing them together. The main section of the tongs is ridged for better grip and the material offers a non-slip surface. The ends of the Tiny Tongs have little (soft) pointy bits to help grip the food and the ends are the right size for small mouths.

As a parent, I always worry about what is in the products my child is using, especially those that end up in her mouth. I was pleased to see that Tiny Tongs are lead free, BPA free and phthalate free. And that they are dishwasher safe. This is a great way to introduce the idea of utensils to eager hands that may not yet quite have the dexterity to manage getting food to mouth without a serving hitting the floor.
