K’Nex – Sesame Street Police Car building set – CLOSED

Christmas Gift Idea for Kids

Kids seems to have a fascination with building blocks, there are endless things that can be built.  It their imagination can think it, they can make it.  K’Nex has teamed up with Sesame Street to make building blocks even more appealing to children.   Although K’Nex building blocks are said to be suggested for children ages 2 – 5, I don’t think children can ever be too young (or old) to enjoy these toys.

knexFor review, we received K’Nex Neighborhood collection Ice Cream Truck.  This  simple little building set has 18 peices which include a truck that children can make with functional turning wheels. At only 16 months, putting all the pieces together to make a working toy is still a little too advanced, but my little one can put a few pieces together, loves carrying the large blocks around the house and put them in her mouth.  She even knows how to push the truck around the floor when my husband and I put it together for her.  I think my husband has had a lot of fun using the little truck as well, with  all the estrogen our house, I don’t think he ever though he would see a truck make its way into our home.  He makes silly truck noises while pushing it along, and she giggles at her silly Dad – I’m glad to see them both having fun.

The instructions include a sheet for parents and older kids which shows how to make different knex-sesame-streetcontraptions with the blocks that they received.

K’Nex has a full Sesame Sreet neighborhood including a police car and police station and  brownstone house.  For any child under the age of 6 (possibly even older), K’Nex and Sesame Street will be a huge hit.  There is something about the creativity, and endless possibilities that children can see in blocks that create endless hours of fun.

Love that Cowboy Elmo and His Horse! My little granddaughter is the biggest Elmo fan, and would really enjoy a K’Nex building set…especially the giveaway one, the Police Car because her only uncle is a police officer!
