During my pregnancy, I was given a book to record what seemed like an endless amount of information about me and my unborn child. Needless to say, I didn’t get around to filling out anything beyond the first 5 pages. For review, I received Zaida Baby My First Keepsake, a journal dedicated to your pregnancy and baby’s first year. This pregnancy book is like no other that I have seen on the market and promises that you will actually use every page. The book opens with a long love letter to the baby (from you), accompanied by black and white photos on the opposing pages. The love letter takes up approximately the first half of the book and includes such quotes and sentiments as:

“Beautiful baby… you’re my life, my breath, my song. I’ll cherish you, believe in you, love you forever, my miracle child” – Emily Wierenga

and

“I promise to nurture you…”

The feelings and thoughts expressed in the letter are tender and evoked a contemplative peace as I read through the pages.
