When I was pregnant I knew I was having a boy, I just felt it and I knew what I would name him. For me there was no other option. Having a baby in the winter meant he spent most of his his first few weeks predominately in sleepers, then the heat of the summer came and we switched to mainly oneseis and now that the fall is fast approaching we have switched to full adorable “little man” outfits; socks, pants, little button up shirts and the ever so cute argyle vest. Ahhh…little boy clothes are the cutest things. Like the rest of us, our dude needed shoes to complete his perfect little outfit.
I was sent for review the “Josh” shoes from Pediped and they are so very cute, we receive comments everytime we are out with these shoes on our little guy. The footwear are incredibly well designed and each aspect of the design has been well researched and thought out to give you the best possible shoes for your wee one. Pediped shoes comes in three styles; the Originals, the Flex and the most recent, Couture collection (perfect for all your mini fashionistas).
The Originals and the Couture collection features sizes 0-24 months and the Flex is designed for children 12 months-5 years. Each Pediped shoe has be meticulously designed to provide infants with the ultimate in comfort and protection with an added measure of “o so cuteness”. Made with a double layer of leather plus a foam pad on the soles for extra cushioning, the Pediped story began in 2004 by parents Angela and Brian Edgeworth after the birth of their first daughter. Angela was seeking the perfect shoe which was comfy, stylish and wearable inside and outdoors. Their philosophy states Pediped shoes are “the next best thing to bare feet”, with an emphasis on being stylish, comfy and healthy for your feet. Pediped was one of the first children’s shoe companies the American Podiatric Medical Association awarded their Seal of Acceptance for promoting healthy foot development. As a parent I want to know I am supporting companies that are promoting healthy products for children. The shoes are incredibly well made, the bottoms are embossed with the Pediped logo and made with slip resistant coating. The shoes are hand stitched prvoviding ventalition, they are made from very soft non toxic leather and the Velcro makes putting the shoes on very easy.
Overall I was very impressed with the Pediped shoes. In addition to making great shoes, Pediped has partnered with the makers of the no slippy hair clippy and have designed some very cute leather and grosgrain clips which complement Pediped’s best sellers.
At 7 months our little guy has a mind of his own and we have 5 seconds to put his shoes on before he want to get moving again. The Pedipeds have generous sizing, our son is a bit chubby and the shoes in 6-12 months fit quite well and they are very easy to slip on and off. Quite frequently he is sound alsleep after a little cruise in the stroller and he does not stir one bit when I take his shoes off.
I am very pleased to recommend Pediped shoes based on the quality and durability of their shoes as well as their philantrophy; they supprort many childrens charities and since 2008 pediped has donated more than $100,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I love this!
