I delight in the new things my son learns everyday. It is always amazing to me how something he struggled with yesterday, he has mastered today. At 7 and a half months old, he has a wonderment and a curiosity that I adore. His eyes are so bright, he wrinkles his eyebrows when he is trying to concentrate and you should see him boogie across the floor when Daddy’s cell phone is there. He is all business and loves to explore as much of his world as he can.

I was given for review the Munchie Mug; a spill resistant snack cup for infants and toddlers.  The Munchie Mug is great for dried fruit, goldfish crackers, cherrios etc. The Munchie Mug has many clever features; firstly let me express my delight in the fact that it is made in the USA, the Munchie Mug is a 16 oz durable plastic jar  which features a seal tight top to keep food fresh when not in use and a fabric covering that opens enough for the child to put their hand through and retreive their snacks.

The bonus of the fabric is that it is really soft and will not scratch your childs hands as they retreive the snacks and you can turn the mug upside down and the food stays inside. The Munchie Mug is ideal for travel, it allows you to take snacks on the road, keep them fresh but still allows for easy access without the worry of all the mess. Any parent knows that part of their daily routine is cleaning up the mess; Munchie Mug eliminates the need to vacuum up those little bits of crackers from the floor every single  day. At 71/2 months, our son is standing up in his crib, crawling all over the place and is into everything so I was curious to see how my son would react to it. According to the website, recommended age is 10 months…lets see if he can figure out what he is supposed to do do with it. As clever as he is, he doesn’t quite get that the snacks come out of it as he doesn’t really eat much for snacks yet but he has figured out he can put his hands in and out, rolling it around on the floor and crawling after it is lots of fun.

Rather than use lots of little baggies, the Munchie Mug is the perfect snack container for the enviro-friendly family. It is made from 100% percent recycled materials, it is BPA and phthalate free and the inks used exceed FDA food standards.

Last but not least, if you have more than one little person who has a Munchie Mug, there is a small writable band on the lower portion of the special lid where names may be placed with a permanent marking pen. How very clever. The munchie Mug goes in the top rack of the dishwasher (another bonus) and is really easy to dry the fabric, just squish between a dish cloth and or air dry.
