WrapTi – Reusable Gift Wrap package – CLOSED

I like to think I am an environmentalist; I recycle, I use cloth diapers, I love to shop at a little second hand store chain known as  Frenchy’s and I do my best to do a 100 other little things to help preserve this little planet of ours.

I believe the creator of  WrapTi,  Akemi Migimatsu has gone a brilliant step further to help our plight in saving our planet. WrapTi is a beautiful, creative and environmentally friendly way to wrap gifts.  Inspired by the Japanese  practice of fabric wrapping gifts in beautiful, silky fabric called furoshiki, Akemi was looking for a way to update and simpfy the traditional art.  WrapTi combines  the art of origami, gift wrapping and re-usable cloth for a very unique and elegant eco-friendly product.

Both collections are packaged in a sheer reusable bag which can later be used a wine bottle gift bag (environmental bonus).

I received the Zoo Collection for review and as a rule I believe most people are aware of their weaknesses and their strengths and all of my life I have considered two of  my strengths to be my imagination and my creativity, two of my weaknesses would be hand-eye co-ordination and the ability to follow written  instructions (I still can’t figure out how to use the playstation as a dvd player with the playstation controller..not rocket science…yet it baffles me)  so I was a little dubious as the website claims that the WrapTi is “fun and easy”. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to make the animals. There are instructions on the website as well as a step by step illustrated instruction manual with my fabric WrapTi. It is surprisingly easy, within a minute I was able to follow the included instruction card and had made an adorable hippo, a penguin and an elephant!

My husband would readily agree following instructions is not always my forte, so I was quite pleased at how well the instructions are drawn and how easy they are to follow and make cute little animals. This would be a great activity to share with your children; the WrapTi stimulates the imagination, helps to develop co-ordination and teaches the valuable lesson about conserving our wonderful little planet.

The WrapTi comes in several colors and sizes, it is suitable for many gift sizes and gives an elegant touch to all of  your gift wrapping. Best of all, its re-usable!
