I am a very over protective parent, I am so concerned with the well being, health and safety of my daughter. I am sure I go over board with somethings, but I figure it is better to be safe than sorry. I can’t quite understand why it is ok to micro chip your dog, but is deemed unethical to micro chip your child. I love my dog, she is like our “first born” and would be very upset if she were to ever get lost. If my daughter were ever to get lost, I would probably lose my mind, so to me it makes no sense that we don’t microchip our children. In the meantime, there is some really great products by Spot Me ID that will help locate your child if they are to every get lost in a large crowd.

I have been a lucky child, and only remember being “lost” once at the beach. I actually wasn’t lost at all, I knew that the tied had made me drift away from where my father was, so I went straight to the lifeguard and waited for my dad to find me. I’m sure my dad was a lot more worried than I was. Thankfully I was old enough to know my name, and tell the lifeguard all my info. But I am sure there have been many times when children have been lost and were not old enough to tell an adult who they are, what their phone number is and how to get in touch with their parents. This is why I love Spot Me ID.
Spot Me ID has 3 different systems for children to wear all their important information. There are 7 different Spot Me ID themes. All themes have a little dog “Spot” in a different setting, from the beach to the zoo. All the themes are fun and children will enjoy wearing the “cool” bracelets, lanyards and Tattoos.
The child safety bracelets are waterproof, durable and reusable. The bracelet system can fit small and large wrists and comes with a waterproof marker which is used to write the child’s name and 2 contact phone numbers where their parents can be reached if they end up lost. Children love wearing bracelets. I remember as a child I would wear my exhibition bracelet for weeks after the exhibition was over. There should be no problem getting your children to wear the bracelet. The only problem might be to have them take it off after your outing is over.
The lanyard is another great way to keep your child’s “find” info in an visible place. Children will wear the lanyard around their necks, and have the Spot Me ID card attached. The card once again includes the child’s name, and up to 2 different contact people and numbers. The package comes with a waterproof marker, and the card is waterproof, durable and reusable. Children will love wearing this around their necks in public. Many adults wear lanyards at work with ID’s, and we all know how much children love to imitate their parents.

The last – and probably most creative Spot Me ID product, is the temporary tattoo. The tattoos are all safe and have no toxins. The tattoo provides a space for an emergency contact number in case your child is found wondering alone. The package of tattoos also comes with wipes to easily remove the tattoos. Children love wearing temporary tattoos, I can see no problems in getting your child to wear these while at a public event. It may be difficult to save them for outings, I’m sure the kids will want to wear them regularly around the house – so make sure to get a few packages.
I love the concept behind Spot Me ID, because as a parent, my biggest fear is that my child will get lost. It can happen so easily, just in the blink of an eye. I want to ensure if my child does get misplaced for a few minutes, that the opportunity is there for them, and the person that finds them to contact me as soon as possible. This will be at least a little bit of a piece of mind in a very stressful situation. Even if my child were never to get lost, I would rather be safe than sorry, and have her wear the Spot Me ID products.

I’d love to win this for my own (three!) kids.
I like the Racing Child Safety Lanyard. My boys would love those.
Thanks!

I saw the safety temporary tattoos. Those are a very neat idea for kids who might not want to wear a necklace or bracelet but would think a tattoo was cool.
