As a stay at home mom, my wardrobe is severely limited to casual clothes, namely jeans, sweats and t-shirts. I don’t dare bring out my nicer clothing for fear that they will be puked on, stained by the latest feeding of strained carrots or worse (I won’t spell out what the “worst” is, but we can all imagine what that can be). Needless to say, I was excited to receive t-shirts from Moms R The Best, located in Maryland.

Moms R The Best is a t-shirt and apparel company that was launched by a Maryland mother of three. The company offers a line of tees with slogans for the busy, yet chic, mom who wants to look fashionable while handling her everyday business. These practical and charming clothes are the answer to the company’s statement: “Just because you’re wearing a tee doesn’t mean you can’t look chic”.


diva-mom-tanktopThe Moms R The Best T-shirts make a great gift for anyone who is excited about being a parent or grandparent, especially if that gift is to yourself. One of the great things about this company is that it does not leave any proud family member out in the cold. Moms R The Best offers gifts not only for mom and baby (and toddler), but for dad and grandma as well. For review, I received a “Diva Mom” tank top, a “Mom = $ Priceless” t-shirt, a “I Need A Time Out From My Kids” t-shirt and a wee little t-shirt with “Mom’s Little Sweet Pea” written on it.

My favorite was the “Mom’s Little Sweet Pea” shirt for the kidlet. The graphic was deliciously cute and the script ran in a curve alongside in a fun font. All of the shirts offered by Moms R The Best are either made by Gildan or Anvil; both are reputable t-shirt manufacturers.

Moms R The Best does away with the boxy tee and stocks shapely short sleeved, long sleeved and tank top choices that proclaim their emotive statements to the world. I do recommend that if you like to wear your t-shirts a little bit looser, you will need to order a size up from what you would normally wear. I found that the large was just right for me, even though I normally choose small (and sometimes medium) sized tops. Moms R The Best recommends that you lie the t-shirt flat to dry, so that the clothing maintains it’s shape after washing. All of their clothing is pre-shrunk cotton.

With some products boldly announcing things like: “Single Mom Handling Her Business” and “Diva Grandma”, you could see how some of these tees may not be for the faint of heart. The Moms R The Best website says “Some slogans applaud the superb job that moms do on a daily basis, some address the stress of being a mom, and others offer an unapologetic explanation of how a mom might be feeling on any given day”. Agreed.
