Laken and Lila – Butterfly and Flower Scroll Skirt – CLOSED

I can’t seem to get enough of adorable clothing and Laken and Lila definitely fits the bill.  Heather who is from New York, started sewing things like dolls at a very young age and knew sewing was something she wanted to do when she grew up.  Although Heather does not have any girls of her own – yet – she loves to make matching adorable skirts and tops for girls starting at size 6 months to size 7.  All of the clothing are made by hand and feature the most modern and fashionable fabrics on the market.

For review Laken and Lila sent a matching applique shirt and skirt in the Rambling Rose brown floral and green stripe fabric in size 12 months.  Everyone loves this outfit, it is just perfect for a little girl.  This is DD’s first skirt, and I must admit she can crawl better in it than her dresses – this is a definite bonus to skirts.  The elastic stretches to fit her round little tummy and still has a long way to go before it becomes too tight.  The skirt reaches below the knee and above the ankle, so she will be able to get quite a bit taller before this becomes a mini skirt.

The Rambling Rose brown floral and green stripe fabric looks absolutely amazing.   The applique on the shirt is a perfect round circle with the Rambling Rose fabric with the green stripe as the border.  The skirt is made from the Rambling Brown Rose with the Green Stripe along the bottom.  The skirt also has a Laken and Lila logo sewn onto the bottom of the skirt.  There is also a little logo on the skirt.  When companies put their logo on the visible part of the clothing, it is usually an indication of a classic brand name.  It’s not often that department store clothing put their logo on the outer part of their clothes, it’s only popular brand names that do this.

I (and everyone else) loves the sweet outfit by Laken and Lila.  This is just the tip of the iceberg of all the wonderful matching outfits available on Etsy.  Items can be purchased as a matching pair, or as separates.  I always purchase matching sets when available because it eliminates having to think of putting an outfit together.
